LBC has been meeting since 2010 now, discussing books (films, podcasts, comics, tv - anything with a faintly literary bent!).
If you’d like to chat books with delightful friendly people, who enjoy zany weird tangents, then we might be the #Leeds based book club for you!

It is hard to feel compassion towards someone who goes abroad to support a radical group that detests our country's values, but she was clearly not bright enough to know better, and that's why I don't think Liz Truss should be stripped of her citizenship.
Fucking hell.
This is an AI-generated video of a Pakistani candidate telling voters to boycott today's general election.
The fake clip is taken from a real video he recently posted on X, with an AI-generated audio clip of him and fake graphics overlaid on top of it.

Kudos to @SIRIUSXM for being on top of this.

THIS is an example of Russian election interference: fake influencers.
"Jasmine" here isn't a real person. Her account is 4 months old, her profile pic is a stock photo, and her Sirius XM radio show doesn't exist. Yet, she has 12.3K followers!
She shills for Trump quite a bit.
How embarrassing for the Oxford Union & all involved. 🙄

Just published, my piece on the Royal Society of Literature, which has been under attack by a group of fellows who rolled out their grievances in the media last week. It's been terrible. Please do show support for @RSLiterature theguardian.com/commentisfre…
You and your party do not get to bring up shame right now.
Appalling. Absolutely lacking in decency.
Appalling.
I do care who you vote for but that’s your choice.
But do vote*.
*because I have to believe the cast majority people of this country are more decent than politicians who behave like this.

Are you seriously trying to argue that mocking transgender women is fine, but being shocked and offended at the PM doing this in front of the mother of a murdered child is "political point-scoring"?

You're defending Sunak after he mocked trans people, while the mother of a murdered trans teen was watching nearby.
You & Sunak have made fun of trans people for years.
Lee Anderson ADMITTED you do this to score points!
YOUR "culture wars" endanger teens like Brianna Ghey!

The grim thing is that normally most in Westminster wouldn’t have batted an eyelid at this. It’s only because Brianna’s mother was in Parliament it’s being picked up. Trans people have slowly become the butt of political jokes under several PMs. This should be a wake up call.

Rishi Sunak tries to attack Keir Starmer over the “definition of a woman” as Brianna Ghey’s mother looks on from the public gallery. Grim. #PMQS
