Presenting science to an audience and discussing the science with peers are actually some of my favourite parts about science 📊 💬 and today I was the happy winner of the “Best poster presentation” at the #PLEN #PhD #Conference so it seems I managed to reach my audience ☺️
A great week in the Alps has come to an end. Interesting talks, great fieldwork, beautiful landscape and great colleagues who can make you cry from laughter and also want to talk about #nitrogen and #carbon for a whole week. What else can one ask for? I don’t know.

#EGU22 from the perspective of a toddler 🧒 Mom and dad take turns being in sessions and outside playing 🛝 (Donau park with amazing playground facilities makes it much easier to manage smoothly 🤹♀️). And the escalators in the entrance hall are the bomb when you are 2 years old

Urgent reminder that peat is 50% carbon. When you remove peat from its protective boggy ecosystem and spread it in your garden, that carbon ends up in the atmosphere. Peat in bogs not bags. Spread the word. Go #peatfree.

You know experiments can be annoying but I never thought I would have to point a gun at one! This one just removes and shoots ions to remove static electricity though 🔫⚡️🔌🔋
Happy to start real measurements in the column trial investigating #nitrousoxide movement in #soil! So excited to start the watering process and see how the gas moves in the column as water content increases and decreases 👩🏼🔬
