Presenting current and future projects at Itatinga, Brazil. Continuing the work of @Cirad and @UMR_EcoSols in partnership with @ESALQ/USP in this context. My research will focus on biogeochemical cycling and soil-tree nutrition in eucalyptus and mixed-native species plantations

#N2O hotspots field site experiments coming to an end, together with @yujialiuu we have collected our final samples and are busy removing the last of our monitoring equipment. End of a fascinating field season, now to process our samples ! @science_ku @DFF_raad

So delighted that the brilliant @Germon_Amandine has received this well-deserved position ! And really look forward to being colleagues again and seeing her cat. Bring on the roots !🔥
I am thrilled to announce that I got a permanent researcher position @Cirad. I will be joining the Eco&Sols Research unit in 2024. Thank you to all those who have crossed my path and played a role in this achievement. Root systems better hold on tight!

Excellent Expert Lecture - missed attending online so tuned in today (while processing soil samples) @Thuls_M. With a different research focus (although where microbial communities are also essential), fascinating to delve into the world of population gut microbiomes #microbiomes
UP EXPERT LECTURE: “By screening African populations, we’ve got a higher potential of finding novel prebiotics, probiotics and other antibiotics just by harnessing the power of our gut microbiomes,” said UP’s Prof Thulani Makhalanyane. ow.ly/nyp750Okhhz

Great poster and step forward in unravelling the glacial depression hot spots in the Danish agricultural landscape #EGU23
Very happy to present this incubation study with some datasets, still lots to do to unravel the mechanics behind #Denitrification hot spots in Denmark @DFF_raad @CarstenWMueller #EGU23

Take a look again at the Nitrogen on the Table report. It shows how halving meat and dairy intake in Europe could reduce agri pollution by 40%, while providing huge land opportunities. This is not about veganism, but finding the balance. inms.international/nitrogen-…
Beyond ecosystem restoration as important for both climate and biodiversity. Would be good to see a focus on reducing reactive nitrogen losses. This is pivotal for both but doesn't get much focus @MarkNitrogen

Thank you @Line_VH Really interesting to see more about your work, and get more insight into the N2O puzzle. Also great to listen to a variety of topics at the #WorldSoilDay event. Thank you @Nelly_Rmd_ and the Danish Soil Science Society for organizing today
Fruitful day at the #WorldSoilDay event hosted by the Danish soil science society #DJF. Useful inputs to my presentation, great to meet new colleagues working in the same field of science - And super interesting work by @MNPoultney and @yujialiuu on #N2O hotspots
