Todd Howard, Peter Molyneux, and David Cage walk into a bar. This joke is now a completely underwhelming interactive experience and I'm sorry if you expected something better.

It truly is not a good day to be on the internet if you don't fit into whatever trans-conformity box people want to put trans folks in.
it is incredible the mental gymnastics you people will do to rationalize how it’s okay to misgender a trans man if he looks “too feminine”

Meh Just like nonbinary people don't owe you androgyny, trans people don't owe you conformity either. I hate the pressure that trans people have to hyperperform the gender they identify as and the moment they show one interest or trait not on the binary they get invalidated

Stephen King calls it "The Thing meets The Silence of the Lambs." Don't miss THE CYCLE, premiering Friday on Shudder.

CLAYFACE is like a Dimension Films release that was shelved in 1998 due to SFX limitations and is now finally getting its release and I mean this in the most complimentary way. The most “90s movie” made in years.

1) Suzi Hunter, a talented Trans woman, gets hired to be a voice actor in Silver Pines. 2) It gets announced and the comments are filled with transphobes hating on the game for having her. 3) They make it go viral to the point in which it reaches my fyp. 4) Game is AI free and indie. I was just looking for new horror theme games to stream next week. Thanks for the suggestion 😊💕
We're excited to announce that Suzi Hunter, @TheSphereHunter, plays Jade in Silver Pines! Outside of her work on YouTube, Suzi has starred in Cyberpunk 2077, Clock Tower: Rewind, and Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat! Jade waits for you in Silver Pines. Just two more days to go!

Controversial opinion. DePalma's Carrie is my least favorite depiction of Carrie.
I get it, when I watched the DePalma the first time I kept thinking “this would be way better if it were stretched out to 36 hours and released over the course of 7 years

I really hate being a person who grew up with this franchise. Everybody talks about these games and films like they watched a 2 hour YouTube deep dive summary. RE7's finale directly reveals how it all connects to the previous games. It doesn't ignore its history, it builds on it!
I so much love this take because it completely exposes the double standard towards the new Resident Evil reboot. If you refuse to consider the 2026 film a real entry just because it ditches the OG heroes for a bumbling everyday courier, then by that exact logic, you have to throw out Resident Evil 7 too. The gaming community universally praises RE7 as a masterpiece, completely forgetting that it took the exact same massive gamble by introducing Ethan Winters, a totally normal guy with zero combat training, no ties to Umbrella, and enemies that weren't standard zombies. Shifting the camera to an ordinary civilian isn’t an insult to the lore; it is literally the exact narrative blueprint that successfully saved the video games a decade ago and did the exact same for the movie franchise.

Unpopular opinion: the idea of telling a new story in Raccoon City isn’t the problem. Honestly, following an original civilian during the outbreak could’ve been one of the best ways to approach this movie. The problem is changing the rules that made Raccoon City and the original outbreak so distinctive. If you’re going to use the RE2 era, the T-Virus, Umbrella, the creatures, and the 1998 setting, those things should feel like the foundation not obstacles that need to be rewritten. You don’t need Leon or Claire to make it feel like Resident Evil. You just need the world to actually feel like Resident Evil. Give us the panic, Umbrella’s presence, the slow-building outbreak, survival horror, and that feeling that ordinary people are completely out of their depth. An original story doesn’t have to mean an unfamiliar universe.

I enjoyed the movie but these were my exact thoughts the entire time. If this movie had been directed by anyone else it wouldn’t be getting THIS much praise and I stand by that.
I wish I loved RESIDENT EVIL, a horror comedy where the stakes are eaten alive by Cregger's desire to turn everything into a bit

Yeah, my gut was right. Far more concerned than laughing AT its source material than ALONG with its source material. Vibes were way off. Especially once Umbrella got involved.
I'm kind of bummed that when I do see Resident Evil, I basically don't get to have an opinion without it being part of some ridiculous discourse war. My gut tells me it won't feel like Resident Evil in the ways I'd want it to but still be a good film.

D&D is so fucked. Apparently anyone can just kick you of of the group bc you keep doing a Jamaican accent even though your character is from a place you made up where canonically everyone has Jamaican accents.
