Truth @AlabamaFTBL fans must acknowledge in NIL/Portal Era and support this team and staff: Kalen DeBoer took the job 🐐 Nick Saban didn’t want. And I don’t blame either one. #rtr #rolltide #bama @BryantDenny_UA
Yeah, my own video.
Facts matter (to some):
“Bama's Resilient Performance: Look at the Positives! youtube.com/shorts/DAIgmzfuM… via @YouTube”
Truth from @KevinScarbinsky
“Bama Fans Are IMPOSSIBLE to Please, Even After a Win youtu.be/-j36L2ECgy4?is=loCO… via @YouTube”
Fair-some fans anyway. Don’t disagree with any of this. The “Saban Standard” was from a very different era, almost not the same sport. An era of stockpiling & developing talent with a complete lack of parity / balance in rosters across the SEC & country. NIL/Portal dramatically changed it. NOT EVEN SABAN HIMSELF COULD REPEAT THE STANDARD TODAY. Nick knew it and left in the nick of time. Roll Tide 🐘🎯

After rewatching the Texas A&M game, it’s clear Alabama is feeling the effects of having so many key players out. I was really impressed by how they battled late in the game, given the circumstances. Now, they have to find a way to play with that level of execution and intensity consistently.
Establishing consistency in the running game remains critical, especially with a trip to LSU on the horizon. It takes pressure off Keelon, keeps the offense on schedule and out of predictable passing situations, and creates much better opportunities for play-action, which we’ve had a lot of success with. I thought Keelon fought hard in this one. Rico was phenomenal in RCW’s absence.
Defensively, Alabama set the tone early with turnovers, then ran into some challenges shortly after. The most important thing, however, was that they really stepped up late, generating some much-needed pressure on the QB. The key now is maintaining discipline, being more consistent, and eliminating the explosive plays.
The good news is that most of these issues should be correctable. Given the current landscape of college football, Alabama is still in a solid position heading into the bye week. Hopefully, they’ll come out of it much healthier and ready to put together a complete performance.
It should make for a great game down in Baton Rouge. Roll Tide. 🐘
Spot on. But hey, some Alabama fans want to insist this team is soft. Significant injuries both numerically and key players (RCW FOR EXAMPLE JUST BEING ON THE FIELD HELPS OPEN UP OTHER RECEIVERS AND THE RUN GAME), very young, patchwork offensive line - and found a way to win an SEC game they had to win. As a fan, I’ll take it. I know some won’t who still live in the fantasy pre-NIL/pre-portal era that caused even the GOAT to walk away.
Roll Tide and tip of the cap to this young battered team yesterday.
"Alabama survived Texas A&M - without their starting center, best WR, best D-lineman + two corners (among others).
Context matters.
And the Tide deserve credit for finding a way - while being SEVERLY short-handed."

Nick Saban to @PatMcAfeeShow: "I talked to a college coach this week who has a bye week next week, and all he's doing is meeting with agents. It's the middle of the season! Guys are worried about how much playing time am I getting, what I'm going to do if I don't get enough playing time. I'm playing well, so how much money am I going to make next year there or someplace else?"
"The reason we're seeing a lot of these inconsistencies in performance is people are struggling to sustain their intensity week in and week out. Maybe it's people are more conditionally committed to their team because the circumstances we're putting these players in. ... If you can't sustain intensity, you can't sustain the level of performance you want to sustain, you can't play smart, you can't play with intelligence. It all starts with your mental energy, and that starts with your commitment to your team and to your development as a player."
I’ll be listening in, have a great show in preparation for Coach DeBoer’s birthday victory tomorrow - RTR👊🏻🙌🏼
