Eivie White avoidably took her own life aged thirteen due to public authority misconduct. I raised her case at Prime Minister’s questions yesterday. Today her family spoke to the BBC. Sadly there is very strong evidence that there are hundreds of SEND children like Eivie. The harsh but brutal reality is that there will be more if the government proceeds with their SEND reforms in their current form which weakens children’s legal protections from local authorities. The country is looking the other way.

So today a little bit of my faith in the justice system has been renewed- - took too long - too many people suffered - comments on media that it was unjust show lack of understanding For me- it’s a start Too little too late But a start ❤️to the women affected- so brave x

I am so very sorry. This is the reality of the so called so easy to claim PIP.
I have never ever felt in such a vulnerable situation as I did today. Pip Tribunal. I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy. 1 of the panel was VERY intimidating. Almost disregarding the medical notes and implying I was lying.. So so so degrading . . Ive lost all faith.😭😭😭😭

Two years ago, we were dragged through absolute hell because I spoke up for my daughter. I told a psychologist no more visits because I could see what their behaviour was doing to my daughter. I tried to raise concerns. I was her mum, watching her struggle, and I wasn't prepared to sit back and pretend everything was okay. So what happened? The #NHS went to court behind my back, seeking to have my daughter forcibly removed from her own home. I knew NOTHING about it until the court papers were served. They knew I wanted to be involved, yet I was kept completely in the dark. I was excluded from proceedings for SIX MONTHS. I have the court papers. I know what was said about us. There is evidence of what happened, and the psychologist deliberately misled the court. Eventually, I was allowed to be involved. Just a few months later, the Health Board was discharged from the case. The proceedings ended, and the court ordered that the restrictions were needed. You don't just get over something like that. You don't forget the fear of potentially losing your daughter from her own home. And you certainly don't forget how it felt to be kept in the dark while decisions affecting your family were being made. Now we're facing another terrifying situation. Following the Supreme Court judgment in Northern Ireland and the change in the legal test around deprivation of liberty, I've been told my daughter's current court authorisation will be allowed to lapse rather than renewed because she no longer meets the criteria. And I'm supposed to trust that everything will be okay? HOW? The NHS has already put us through hell once. I've seen the harm this situation caused us. I've seen what happened when I raised concerns and tried to protect my daughter. WHAT'S STOPPING THEM FROM DOING IT AGAIN? Honestly, I'm terrified. I cannot pretend otherwise. I don't trust the NHS. Not after what we've been through. Not after what happened when I spoke up for my daughter. People can tell me to trust the professionals all they like, but they weren't the ones living through that nightmare. They weren't the ones who found out about the court proceedings when the papers arrived. They weren't the ones excluded for six months, terrified of what might happen to their child. I WAS. I'm her mum. I was trying to keep my daughter safe. That's all I've ever wanted. Now I'm left worrying about what happens when that authorisation lapses, what safeguards will be there, and whether we could end up dragged through another court battle. I shouldn't have to live in fear of the very system that's supposed to help us. My daughter deserves to be safe in her own home. We deserve some peace after everything we've been through. But how am I supposed to sleep easy and trust that history won't repeat itself when THE NHS HAS ALREADY HARMED US ONCE? I can't just switch that fear off. I can't forget what happened. And I will not pretend that I trust a system that has given me every reason to be frightened. I'm just a mum trying to protect her daughter. Why does that have to be so bloody hard? 💔

This article is the closest thing to the truth of what happened to us that the public can actually read. I asked the Court TWICE to publish the judgment from the final hearing in November 2024. TWICE I was refused. Instead, the judgment from a hearing I was excluded from was published, allowing a version of events I could not challenge to become the public record. At the final hearing, the evidence changed. The judge heard things that cast that earlier narrative in a completely different light. Yet the truth from that hearing remains unpublished. So the version that painted us in a particular light was allowed to be seen, shared and relied upon in other cases, while the evidence that challenged it remained buried. How is that justice? How is that transparency? The false narrative was given a public platform. The truth was denied the same. This is what happened to my family. This is why I will not be silent. Please read this article. Our voices were shut out once. I will not let our story disappear. 🔗 openjusticecourtofprotection…

I think it’s time I started telling our full story. Those who have followed my page will know some of what my daughter and our family have been through, but there is so much more that I haven’t shared publicly. Behind everything I’ve spoken about is a much bigger story. Years of fighting, serious concerns, unanswered questions and a huge amount of evidence. I’ve spent so long trying to get answers, raising concerns and going through the proper channels. All the while, my daughter and our family have had to live with the impact of what has happened. I have documents, evidence and a timeline of events that I believe deserve proper scrutiny. There are things that need to be brought into the open, and questions that still need answering. To the journalists who follow my page, I’m ready to tell the full story. I’m ready to share what happened, what I’ve uncovered and the evidence behind it. This isn’t just about my family. It’s about accountability, and what happens when families raise serious concerns and feel they aren’t being heard. I’ve kept fighting because my daughter matters, and because I don’t believe these questions should be left unanswered. If you’re a journalist who wants to speak to me, please message me privately. I think it’s time people knew the full story.

It's a busy news day, but this from Haringey is outrageous. Today the Regulator of Social Housing published an inspection, and it turns out the previous Labour council seemingly misled them about thousands of fire-safety issues in local council housing.
