Over 45 and your TROUSERS feel longer?
They didn't grow.
Losing >4 cm in height can mean spinal bones have settled.
Try the wall test: does your head touch? 👖

'OSTEOPOROSIS can't be reversed.'
Women after menopause did supervised heavy lifting 2×/week for 8 months: spine density +2.9% vs −1.2%. No fractures.
📚The Bone Detective is out today.

Spinach smoothie for CALCIUM?
You absorb only about 5% of it. Oxalates lock it up.
Kale and bok choy do far better.

WOMEN over 50:
you drank MILK every day, and your bones thinned anyway.
The checklist measures what you swallow, not what arrives in your bones. 🔍

This one BELIEF is quietly running almost everyone's HEALTH decisions:
'someone else knows my body better than I do.'
Doctors matter.
But you're the CEO of your body. 👑

Part 3: You can have money, health, and success, and still be starving for SELF-WORTH.
When you don't believe in YOUR POWER, someone else will use it for you.
#SelfWorth
83% of people say they don't have a clear PURPOSE.
That might be why nothing sticks. 🧭
Without a reason, even good habits feel like OBLIGATIONS.
Finish this: 'I take care of myself because…' #Purpose
Part 1: You check your PHONE 90–150 times a day.
Most of those times, it didn't even BUZZ.
DOPAMINE rewards expecting the thing, not getting it. That's the loop.

You're not HEALTHY.
You're just failing less than everyone else. 📉
Common ≠ normal. What's your real grade, A to E?
#HealthGrade
When your doctor says your BLOODWORK is normal, they didn't say you're HEALTHY.
They said you're not as sick as the sick people. 🧾

Google: high BLOOD PRESSURE 'cannot be permanently cured or reversed.'
Him: lost 30 lbs, numbers back to normal. Lifestyle isn't a side note.
(Never stop meds without your doctor.) 🩺

I Googled a HEALTH question, and the answer felt designed to make me feel POWERLESS.
Doctors 'diagnose and manage.' Not FIX. Not reverse. Manage. 👀

Standard of care isn't always right....
Every one of these was done to people like you by a careful doctor following the rules.
1915: healthy teeth pulled by the mouthful, then the tonsils, to cure arthritis and madness. It was the standard of care.
1925: X-rays aimed at babies' chests to shrink a gland that was a perfectly normal size. The cancers turned up decades later. It was the standard of care.
1935: mothers drugged through labour, strapped to the bed with their heads padded, and sent home with no memory of the birth. It was the standard of care.
1940: electric shocks through the brain with no anaesthetic and no muscle relaxant, strong enough to fracture the patient's spine. It was the standard of care.
1948: premature babies kept in high oxygen as routine. It blinded about 10,000 of them. It was the standard of care.
1955: women in Irish maternity hospitals had the pelvis sawn open in labour in place of a caesarean, and were not asked. It was the standard of care.
1970: the whole breast, the chest muscle and the armpit removed for a lump a smaller operation would have dealt with. It was the standard of care.
1985: newborns given open-heart surgery awake, paralysed so they could not move, with no pain relief, because babies were held not to feel pain. It was the standard of care.
None of it was fringe. A doctor who refused to do any of those could be sued for negligence, and the expert witness against him would have been quoting the textbook.
Standard of care describes what everybody is doing. It has never described whether it works, and the two get compared about once a generation, usually at an inquiry.
No single choice creates a DEAD ZONE.
A million REPEATED ones do.
The same math works in reverse. 🌍
What's one small swap you'll repeat this week? #HealthyHabits
There are 400+ DEAD ZONES in the ocean.
One of them is in the Gulf of Mexico, and your PANTRY is part of the reason. 🌊
Farm/factory → food → drain → ocean.
#DeadZone
Check your SNACK bar label for any word ending in 'phosphate.'
Those additives may quietly pull calcium from your bones.
How many are in your PANTRY? 👇 #FoodLabels
Your TEETH aren't YELLOW just because of coffee.
They might be weak because of a mineral imbalance, and whitening only paints over it. 🦷
Part 2 tomorrow: the pantry ingredient behind it. #OralHealth
I asked my dad's doctor if he could actually get better — not just 'managed.'
His honest answer:
'My job isn't really improvement.
It's management.'
The scariest health problems don't feel like problems.
They feel like Tuesday.
We soothe the alarm. We don't put out the fire.
