I had a bit of chatter the other day and got attacked quite a bit for it. That’s fine, obviously, as it’s never comfy to hear things that are wrong. I was told to provide proof, so I figured let’s get that going. It’s pretty simple, really. I was the only one vocal about this issue way before torch went live, and it seems it’s finally being picked up, although not completely. Quick recap: Many EVM launchpads collect creator fees through a Uniswap v4 hook on one pool. When a third party opens another pool for the same token without that hook, trades can route through it and the fee never reaches the creator or the launchpad. Right now that is costing this specific launchpad roughly 35% of their revenue. The fix we chose on torch is to enforce the fee in the token contract itself, not in a pool or hook. Every route pays it, so creators keep their fees whichever pool is used. We are now working on an API so any launchpad can use this setup. You would launch through torch and keep all your creator fees and you can enjoy the cross-trade technology if you want. btw all the proceeds of those pools / revenue I will use to buyback and burn torch.

Kept names out on purpose but given you responded; this is about the design and why torch fixes this, not your team - but happened to stumble up on yours. A hook-based sell tax has the same problem as the buy fee: it only exists on the pool with the hook. When a third party opens a hookless pool as I did, buys and sells route there and both fees disappear. The last 24 hours that was ~35% of your revenue, sell tax included, if wished, I could've brought that to 50-70%+ easily. Nothing will change that. Regarding ours, reason why we have it on buys only is simple; Over time buy and sell volume roughly match, so a 2% buy tax earns about the same what 1%/1% does. And for the floor: on torch every trade, buy or sell, pays the pool’s LP fee, so on the sell side there is always something. A token-level sell tax breaks standard Uniswap v4 routing unless you use workarounds which i couldn't find without tradeoffs. That’s why we tax buys in the token: every route pays it, every router works and nobody can bypass it. The only way to solve it for you is either integrating similar / migrate our tech or is by having a uniswap v4 hook that enforces the token on contract level to only route through the canonical pool, whether that's ethical smart is another subject tho. you have an interesting idea though with the floors, will follow & gl too.
