So how is Anakin killing his own wife, betraying his friends, murdering a bunch of kids and ending up as a crippled mutated slave of an ugly old man "based?"
Explain it to me like I'm 12

The entire point of Star Wars was that Anakin got manipulated into serving an authoritarian. You really thought this was a flex? The irony of identifying with a character who fell for every lie a powerful politician told him is absolutely incredible.

The right-wing Anakin posting does make a lot of sense as it combines many of the Right’s core preoccupations: getting groomed; killing your wife; working for an insane, octogenarian tyrant; being hated by your children; losing and dying

Reminder, The Galactic Empire were the bad guys. They literally wanted to genocide all other races besides human. The Galactic Empire was explicitly human-supremacist, discriminated against nonhuman species, enslaved entire populations, and committed genocide.
The Empire was intentionally depicted using imagery and institutions associated with historical authoritarian regimes, while the Rebellion brought together humans, aliens, and droids against a government that enforced obedience through fear.
that's right libs, I've been duped by an elderly pervert and and am mere hours away from the having my cock and balls incinerated in a volcano

I'll never understand people who stan Anakin Skywalker.
Dude had EVERYTHING. Literal superpowers, a gorgeous, wealthy, powerful wife, loyal friends, and a servant droid.
Then some creepy old politician promised him he could save everyone he loved.
So Anakin murdered children, choked his pregnant wife, tried to kill his best friend, and lost everything.
And the old man couldn't even deliver on his promise.
Congratulations. You traded your entire life for a miserable, thankless government job working for the guy who screwed you over.
And somehow people think he's the victim.

The first one was fun. Lots of familiar elements, a galaxy spanning conflict, cool lightsabers and force powers, new alien worlds to explore, funny robots. It had one of the best twists in games. It felt both original and like a classic star wars story. A very solid game.
The second one was about cosmic horrors too terrible and great to imagine. All of the usual heroes are dead or useless. The evil isn’t visible. There’s no massive fleets or super weapons, just a radiating sickness slowly draining the life from the universe. It transcends the Star Wars franchise and is possibly the best RPG ever made.

Darth Vader’s unexpected entrance in the penultimate episode of Maul: Shadow Lord was still nothing short of terrifying.
Really appreciate how Vader’s presence alone is enough to solidify how large of a threat he actually is.

Totally forgot about this bit in the Season Finale for Maul: Shadow Lord where Darth Vader literally punches Jedi Master Daki in the middle of a lightsaber duel.

PROJECT HAIL MARY author Andy Weir on what STAR WARS movie he would make if given the opportunity.
“I feel like the best way, in my opinion, to do another 'Star Wars' movie — and I'm not George Lucas and this might be a terrible idea — but would be to have the story of other people during the Galactic Civil War. Think of it like this: We know what happened in World War II, but there are some really good fictional stories that take place during World War II. So if you treat the Galactic Civil War as, 'Okay, that's established canon, those are the things that happened,' but there's still a lot of stories to tell about other people living through those wars. So that's what I would do."

🚨ALERT: Experts are concerned that Anakin Skywalker is becoming a symbol of right-wing extremism.
