Thread of my favorite art by Bill Hughes from the Essential Chronology – some of what I consider to be the most important artwork of the 90s Expanded Universe

Even if you don't like the choices it made (I certainly don't like all of them!) it's clearly a movie made with an immense amount of legitimate understanding and respect for the original films.

I’ve read a couple chapters of Traitor and the Yuuzhan Vong are so much more interesting than any of the people who haven’t read about them could possibly fathom.

It's so special having this iconic Dark Horse Legends artist back for canon stories. It just feels right.

if the empire was still at charge during yuuzhan vong war, they would've lost more planets and ten times more casualties and half of them would've been their own fault

The Yuuzhan Vong were the first thing written out by Disney's Lucasfilm because they force a paradigm shift. When "Literally Nazis" are the deterrent for "Literally Chaos" AND instrumental to getting rid of them, were the Rebels really the heroes for opening the gates to them?

Just finished this. You can feel that it’s Luceno’s first Star War, but it also feels like it was written specifically for me. I love this book.
