Geoffrey Hinton, who is known as the godfather of AI, used his 2024 Nobel Prize acceptance speech not to celebrate his creation but to warn humanity of its risks:
“AI is already being used by authoritarian governments for mass surveillance. In the near future, AI will be used to create new viruses and lethal weapons that decide by themselves who to kill or maim.
There is also a long-term existential threat that will arise…We now have evidence that AI created by companies motivated by short-term profits will not prioritize the safety of humanity. We need research on how to prevent these AI beings from taking control. They are no longer science fiction.”
When the pioneer of AI is warning humanity about the existential dangers of his own creation it’s time not just to listen, but to take action by stopping the one thing the billionaires need to power the dystopian AI world they’re trying to create: Data Centers.

Dostoevsky was 28 when they stood him in front of a firing squad. Blindfolded. Hands tied. He could hear the rifles being loaded.
At the last second a messenger on horseback arrived. The Tsar had commuted the sentence. The entire execution was staged. Psychological torture designed to break him.
It worked. He had a seizure on the spot.
They sent him to a labour camp in Siberia. 4 years. Freezing. Starving. Sleeping on wooden planks next to murderers. His epilepsy got worse. He had no paper. No pen. Nothing.
When he got out he was broke. His first wife died. His brother died. He inherited his brothers debts. He was so desperate for money he signed a contract with a publisher that would have given away the rights to everything hed ever write if he missed the deadline.

The man who stood blindfolded before the firing squad, who convulsed on the ground while soldiers watched, who slept next to killers in Siberia for 4 years, who was buried in debt and grief.
That man wrote: "every minute can be an eternity of happiness."
He earned the right to say it.

Let me just say that if you are new to Trading, and you started by following people on X there are quite a few things you should know.
From a Trader/Investors perspective who's done this for 22 years now (full time)... I have noticed that X tends to breed the mentality of competition, which is healthy, but also mainly a lot of greed. In ways you wouldn't expect.
Everyone here talks about crushing huge returns on every trade. You don't hear about some of the losses at all. It breads a mentality where you are constantly fomo'ing to make sure you don't miss the next move. You feel as if you must be doing something wrong if you're not full invested having a trade on at all times.
When in reality, you should be focusing on your capital and your capital alone. Not what anyone else is doing.
And when your capital has your full undecided attention and respect you make sure to only take the best setups, get used to saying no to most trades, and making sure you use good risk management which means setting stop losses on every trade/investment you make so that you never take on a loss too big to come back from - you protect your capital like you protect your loved ones. You don't gamble on them. You play the odds and wait until probability is always well in your favor. 💯

The year is 1950. Your doctor lights a cigarette and tells you smoking is fine. He read it in a study. He is telling the truth about having read it. He does not know, or is not saying, that the study was funded by the tobacco industry.
The year is 1958. Your doctor tells you to eat less fat. The evidence is contested. The contestation is not in the public messaging. The food industry has been helpful in clarifying which findings deserve attention. Some researchers who published contradictory data have been quietly defunded. Ancel Keys is on the cover of Time magazine.
The year is 1962. Your doctor prescribes thalidomide to your pregnant wife for morning sickness. It has been approved. The FDA gave it the green light in Europe. Twelve thousand children will be born with severe limb malformations before anyone in an official capacity acknowledges the problem. The families are told the drug was safe. The drug was approved. Both of these things remain true.
The year is 1972. Your doctor prescribes Valium. Britain is in the grip of a benzodiazepine wave that will last two decades. The dependency risk is known internally. It is not shared. Your doctor is not lying to you. He was not told either.
The year is 1999. Your doctor prescribes Vioxx for your arthritis. It is newer than ibuprofen, well-tolerated, and Merck has a study showing it works. Merck also has internal data suggesting it roughly doubles the risk of heart attack. This data will not reach your doctor for four more years. Fifty thousand people are estimated to have died in the interim. Merck eventually settles for 4.85 billion dollars. No criminal charges are brought.
The year is 2002. Your doctor prescribes OxyContin. Purdue Pharma trained its sales representatives to tell doctors the addiction risk was less than one percent. That figure came from a letter, not a study. The letter was about patients with terminal cancer on short-term doses in hospital settings. Your doctor is a GP with a patient who has a bad back. Nobody draws a distinction. Nobody is required to.
The year is 2008. Your doctor checks your cholesterol. Your LDL is elevated. You are prescribed a statin. Nobody mentions that the number needed to treat for primary prevention is approximately 250. Nobody mentions that the muscle deterioration you'll notice over the next two years is listed as a rare side effect rather than a documented pattern affecting a meaningful percentage of patients. The trial that informed the prescription was funded by the manufacturer.
Now it is today.
Your doctor has new guidelines. New studies. New consensus.
He is confident.
He has always been confident.
The confidence has never been the problem.
The confidence is, in fact, precisely the problem.

Weather modification efforts date back to the 1940s, after World War II. During Operation Popeye, the U.S. military extended the monsoon in Vietnam to increase rainfall over the Ho Chi Minh Trail and disrupt Viet Cong supply lines.
Could similar covert technologies have been used against countries like Iran and Russia? Following recent strikes on installations in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, regions in Iran, and even parts of Russia, are now seeing rainfall and snowfall that was previously rare.
This raises a question: how many adversaries, and perhaps even allies, may have been targeted by such secret weather modification programs?

If you die without a plan...
- The government takes 40% in tax
- Probate court costs $100k+
- Your kids get the scraps
If you love your family, here's every document you need to protect them:
(from a CPA & father of two)
1) Emergency Access List
This should include:
-> All bank account numbers
-> Investment account logins
-> Life insurance policies
-> 401k/IRA beneficiaries
-> Safe deposit box location
-> Password manager master code
Keep a digital & physical version for safety...
And make sure your spouse has access.
2) Legal Documents
-> Will (name guardians for kids)
-> Durable Power of Attorney
-> Healthcare Power of Attorney
-> Living Will/Healthcare Directive
Setting all of this up costs about $500...
($1,500 with an attorney)
But without them, the state decides everything.
3) Money Protection
Your family will need time to mourn.
Make sure they can do it without going broke:
-> Term life insurance (10x income)
-> Emergency fund (6-12 mo in a HYSA)
-> Retirement accounts with spouse access
4) The "First 48 Hours" Sheet
Write down clear instructions for your family:
Call this attorney: [Name/Number]
Call this CPA: [Name/Number]
File life insurance claim here: [Details]
Don't touch investments for 6 months
All bills are on autopay from [Account]
Grief destroys decision making.
This protects them.
5) Business Owner Addition
If you have a business, set up:
-> Buy sell agreements
-> Key person insurance
-> Business succession plan
-> Separate LLC owned by trust
If your company can't survive without you...
It's a 9-5 with extra steps.
6) Trust Setup
A proper trust can save your family $400k+ in probate costs.
But 90% of them are set up wrong:
-> Assets never get transferred in
-> Beneficiaries aren't updated
-> Pour-over will is missing
Here's how to fix that:
"Bulletproof" Trust System:
1) Revocable Living Trust
-> Avoids probate completely
-> Keeps finances private
-> Protects kids' inheritance

-> Catches forgotten assets
3) Guardian Designation
-> Who raises your kids
-> How they get paid
Setting this up takes a weekend...
But ignoring it could cost your family everything.

American is a healthy 28 year old, he decided to skip paying for health insurance this year because the cheapest plan was $900 per month with a high deductible
He had to spend 2 nights in the ER without insurance, he breaks down the bill
“This is my receipt from spending 2 days in the hospital:
- It totaled about $24,000
- My CT scan alone was $8,300
- Laboratory, 6,000
- IV therapy, $1,020, $4,000 in total
And while $24,000 seems like a lot of money, let me show you something. This is what I'm actually paying, $2,478
because when you don't have insurance, these hospitals give you a discount. They discounted $22,000 off of this bill”
“But if I had insurance, I wouldn't have gotten that discount. So it would've been a $24,000 bill billed to my insurance, and then my insurance would've said, ‘Hey, you have a $5,000 deductible. You need to pay $5,000 for this last emergency room visit.’
Then you tack on the $900 a month that I'd be paying for that insurance. I'd be paying $20K this year for healthcare.
So the craziest part about this is even if I have another hospital visit, by the end of this year, I'm still gonna be paying less than I would if I had insurance. At minimum, my cost for healthcare this year would've been $20,000 with insurance. Right now I'm at $2,400.”
