In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

This will be challenging for the actors to learn (and obviously require subtitles) but would be really cool if he pulls it off. If anyone can, it's Eggers

What is happening in English departments right now should concern everyone. We are on the verge of dismantling anthropocentrism and according a mysterious form of pulsating subjecthood to material things. This research must stop until appropriate safeguards are in place

Church coffee hour depends on complementarity.
For the parents, an Apollonian hour of conversation and swapping prayer request.
BECAUSE
For the kids, a Dionysian hour of donuts, running around like dervishes, and screaming.

I guarantee you’re a better writer than ChatGPT. Never butcher your own writing or relinquish your own voice to put your name on the dead-eyed, mechanical hallucinations of a bunch of 1s and 0s. People who know good writing and AI have no trouble recognizing AI-generated garbage.

We never needed blackboard or canva.
And we could just stop using them and everything would be fine.

Most people think sterilization is okay. But deep down they still think it’s… well, weird. I ask people to examine why sterilization makes us feel uncomfortable, suggesting it may be a hint at a deeper spiritual reality. @CTmagazine
