Being grossed out by potentially having sex with your loving wife in the afterlife is.... a choice. A childish choice but one youre free to make
There is a fascinating video put out by @WardRadioShow about the early church fathers.
It’s amazing how so many of them believed the principle that’s been circulating from Lorenzo Snow: "As man now is, God once was; as God now is, man may be."

Really enjoyed this conversation with @KaiSchwemmer and @LukeFHan! I hope you’ll check it out!
Is the state of Israel part of the fulfillment of LDS and Biblical prophecy?
Are the Jews supposed to convert and then gather or gather then convert? Should these answers affect us foreign policy?
I sat down with @KaiSchwemmer and @MJulietIngram to talk about all of this and more.

You and I are both LDS and both have large audiences, so what I’m about to say comes from a unique perspective. I saw your Rogan dodge when he asked about your faith.
And I understand that you likely feel like your professional work or expertise is compromised if you reference your religious beliefs but man, was that not such a missed opportunity to spread the light of the Gospel?
Own it! Own your beliefs and proclaim them loudly. Maybe you sell a few less books? Who cares? You’ll still be rich and happy.
Every time I post about my faith hundreds of people unfollow me and say things like “stay in your lane!” But who cares? Spread your light. Share your faith. The upside is greater than the downside.
I love what you’re doing but that clip bummed me out.

Fearless Truth inadvertantly admits creatio ex nihilo is illogical.
P1. Creation did not exist eternally; it was non-existence and then it was existence. This is definitionally a change.
P2. Change is defined as potentiality to actuality; if there is a change, there is a potential that was actualized.
P3. It is impossible for potential to exist in absolute metaphysical nothingness.
P4. Before creation, only God existed; nothing else existed outside of God.
C. The potential must have existed in in the only thing that existed: God.
_____________
But Classical Theists like Nick reject this; potentiality CANNOT exist within God. This would break the whole system.
He claims creation was merely conceptual, but that the concept itself was never actualized, and so reality's potential could not have been in the concept.
So the potential must exist outside of God. ...But potential can't exist in nothingness (by definition).
This creates a contradiction.
And "Fearless Truth" admits this: "There's no such thing", "It's illogical". He recognizes the contradiction but fails to recognize the implications.
You cannot create from nothing because you cannot actualize something that does not exist.

I just had a spirited discussion with @LukeFHan about the Daily Wire’s new movie, “Run, Hide, Fight: Infidels”, the recent rise in right-wing rhetoric targeting Muslims/Islam as a unique threat to the West, and how LDS should engage this larger discourse.

Even though this is a joke, it’s this centrist mentality in membership culture that has troubled me since I was in high school. If you want to join the effort to oppose abortion in Idaho do it, otherwise don’t mock saints brave enough to.

I finally told my family that I was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and… it didn’t go well 😭
I ended up leaving early in a puddle of tears.
I love my family, but I honestly don’t know how to handle this.
I’m angry, I’m sad, I’m hurt… I’m just everything.
I know they are very Catholic and wouldn’t like it, but I had hoped that once they saw how happy and full of love of the Lord that I am now, maybe they would accept my decision.
That was wishful thinking 😞

Good to see the Mormons getting involved to help stop the murder of babies!
Every church should.
🚨BREAKING: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints just sent a letter to local leaders in Idaho opposing a pro-abortion ballot initiative and requested that all local leaders read the statement to their congregations on TWO consecutive Sundays.
The statement calls on members to "voice their opposition" as the Church "joins like-minded individuals and organizations working against this initiative."
Idaho is 15-20% Mormon. Current polling shows support for the initiative polling at 60% with another 11.9% undecided. This could be the key to turning the tide!
Get to work Idaho Latter-day Saints and friends, save the babies!

I’m also VERY worried about women in the church.
And spending 10 minutes on Instagram or Facebook will show you exactly why.
It’s just excuse after excuse after excuse for every sin imaginable.
The only sin they won’t excuse is “being judgy”.
Sometimes I get really concerned about the women in the Church.
Apparently deciding between legalizing all baby killing for the first half of pregnancy or keeping a law that might have caused a problem for 6 women and can be tweaked is a difficult moral decision that the Church needs to stay out of.
(Idaho has 23,000 births per year btw)
