Serving God ultimately requires the power of God. God will always lead us toward reliance upon Him.
Relational ministry requires dependence on God. To love others always bumps up against our pride, our fears and insecurities, our comfort zone and our selfishness. It’s through the Spirit’s power that we are able to bring God’s love to others, overcoming those obstacles.
God’s transforming love works in both those served and the servant.

The Church is designed by God to be His agent of modeling relationship in the world.
Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” John 13:35
The “One Anothers” of scripture are God’s design for human interaction, relationship, and community. The Church is called to live them out, and take them out to the world. Yet, the church is paralyzed by the same relational poverty that is plaguing our culture. How do we as a the church, as ministries, and as individuals move out of relational poverty and recapture the life giving mission God has given us?
This book was written to help this critical mission, and give tools to those who are answering the call both individually and in leading others.

The mercy and grace we ask God to extend to us, we can justify not extending to others.
God’s grace has a purpose to change our hearts
Coming October 1st!!
Relational Poverty is both a destructive cause embedded in our culture that fosters and allows more and more people to become isolated. And a destructive condition as the full effects of isolation manifest in an individuals life.

I love this gem from C. S. Lewis’s novel 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘊𝘢𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘢𝘯.
A profound picture of sanctification.
The pride of man:
“whatever God there may be has to fit my idea of God and be what I say it is.”
Jesus:
“Forgive them Father they know not what they do”
O Lord turn our hearts to You. Have mercy upon us and open our eyes and hearts to Your truth and grace
in a world of troubles we bounce around from worry to worry while the world‘s gimmicks that promise to give us peace continually prove to be lies.
But true peace is here for us, not in changed circumstance, not in what the world offers, but in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Life reaches a crossroads we realize our soul can only be satisfied in God. Desperation brings us to find living water. We pass up other things for Him, don’t worry who sees our desire for Him, or let any thing keep us from Him, because nothing else satisfies our deepest needs.
We live in a tragic world. But by God’s grace one person can still make a difference as big as eternity.
Choose to live in the light of God, and see how He uses you to diminish the darkness.
