In a startling state of affairs….oh, wait no…..in a continued bungling of his CPC leadership with polls drubbing the Republicans in the mid terms @PierrePoilievre is bang on missing the moment…per usual.
“He’s right! We’re not at the negotiating table right now. Do you know why, Mr. Speaker? Because we walked away when it was in Canada’s interest to show the Americans that we weren’t going to accept a bad deal.”
After @PierrePoilievre's theatrics, @StevenMacKinnon gave him the smackdown!
What will the GOP lobby Trump for during the next two years to get their train back on the track? They could end up losing even more power in 2028.
Do we have send a petition to @OPP to tell them to investigate a MASSIVE fraud that happened in their province?
Is there where we are at?

Meanwhile, the ministry of labour now says its review of the Better Jobs Ontario fund is internal only and has not yet reached the external stage.
The minister initially confirmed when asked whether KMPG had been tasked for the review.
"Government auditors are currently reviewing other government funding to private institutions. We will not hesitate to take the next steps necessary in funding to restore accountability and hold bad actors accountable.
While KPMG has been brought in to review OSAP funding at private institutions, they have not been engaged to review other government funding streams such as Better Jobs Ontario," the office said in a statement.

Poilievre should stand in front of a Titanic exhibit. She sank the same year as the last Conservative balanced budget.

Voter Suppression is alive and well in the USA, It’s absolutely ridiculous that you have to stand in a lines like this to Vote..
Thanks to these hardy folks for hanging there!! , enough is enough. We need change!!
Some folks are in denial about reality.
It has been a nasty and disappointing midterm election campaign, and few will be unhappy to see the end of it.
The irrational and almost sociopathic hatred of President Trump, even in ostensibly Republican circles, reveals less about Trump than about the intellectually corrupt and mediocre Republican Party whose headship he seized ten years ago. The Democrats have been reduced to an incoherent pantomime horse of anti-American extremists and exhausted hacks.
More disappointing is that surviving Reaganites are so hostile to Trump that they serenely overlook the blight of wokeness, the bottomless corruption in places like Minnesota, and the ambition to turn the United States into a one-party state. They want his last election to be a “rout,” in Peggy Noonan’s words, so they can return to business as usual. It won't be.
Trump has produced strong and rising economic growth, cut taxes, drastically deregulated, closed the border, deported over two million illegal entrants, mortally assaulted DEI, and prevented Iran from becoming a nuclear power. He has done the last at a cost of fewer combat deaths than occur every couple of weeks in many Democratically governed American cities.
His methods are irksome at times, and his public personality is an acquired taste. But he has pierced the pomposity and complacency of the bipartisan system he displaced. He has been a very effective president.
You missed the accolades for his pursuit of justice for the Epstein victims which he repeatedly promised.

Best generational post I’ve ever seen.
This oddly ties into RFK Jr & his fetishes.
Jerry Hall spent 22 years with Mick Jagger and had four of his children. When she filed for divorce, he told a court they had never been married, and the court agreed with him.
They met in 1977. She was a Texas supermodel who left Bryan Ferry for him. In November 1990 they finally married in a Hindu ceremony on the island of Bali.
In 1998 Mick had an affair with Luciana Morad, a 29-year-old Brazilian model. When she got pregnant, Jerry filed for divorce.
That is when Mick's lawyers made their move. They argued the Bali ceremony had never been completed properly, so in the eyes of the law there was no marriage to divorce. In August 1999 the High Court in London agreed and declared it null and void under both English and Indonesian law.
No marriage meant no normal divorce. The press had guessed she might get $48 million out of his $240 million fortune. She reportedly walked away with about £10 million instead.
Seventeen years later, at 59, she had her first legal wedding. The groom was Rupert Murdoch, 84, one of the most powerful media owners on Earth.
In June 2022 she was waiting for him at their estate in Oxfordshire when an email arrived: "Jerry, sadly I've decided to call an end to our marriage." The message added that his New York lawyer would be in touch with hers. According to friends, she had 30 days to move out of their California mansion.
The divorce was done within two months. One of the terms was so specific it made headlines on its own: Jerry was not allowed to give story ideas to the writers of Succession, the HBO show about a media billionaire and his family.
So her first husband said she was never his wife, and her second one fired her by email.
In the video below, it is 1995. Jerry sits down with Conan O'Brien at the height of her fame and jokes about growing up in Texas. Four years later, a court would tell her she had never been married at all.
Which ending was worse: "we were never married" or an 11-word email?

This is good.
Here's a little reality-check two-thirds of the way through 2026:
Canada Export Volumes: January–August 2026
(cumulative C$ billion exports of goods and services for eight months year-to date alongside year-over-year % change vs same period 2025)
Total Exports $ 771.5 +12.5 %
To USA Alone $ 504.7 +1.4 %
To Rest of World $ 266.8 +22.8 %
At 34.6% YTD the non-USA share of Canada's exports is apparently the highest in four decades.

Doug Ford pulled the rug out from under students and then blamed them for it.
His government was warned about suspicious OSAP activity at private career colleges as far back as 2023, and it kept approving them for funding anyway.
Now students are left with more debt, no OSAP grants and no idea how they’ll finish school.
Today I’m forcing a vote to make Ford come up with a plan, within 14 days, for the students paying the price for his government’s failure.
