Minnesota pipefitters show up for homeowners in need — repairing their furnaces at no cost through Project HEAT’s ON. We all know how important it is to have a safe, working furnace during a Minnesota winter. Thanks to the pipefitters for their work and service to our state.

“You lead because that’s what the UA does. It leads the way.” At the 41st Convention, International Representative Greg Mitchell honored our retiring General Officers and reminded us that every UA member is a leader. Together, we carry our legacy forward.

Another week. Another attack on opportunities for our members by the governor’s office. To say this is disappointing is an understatement. Especially when you consider the fact that Governor Walz committed to us that he would never take actions such as this.
The DNR’s cancellation of a Twin Metals mineral lease is a blow to the Iron Range. Minnesotans deserve access to good-paying jobs close to home and a fair, consistent, science-based process that encourages investment and job creation. Full statement: jobsforminnesotans.org/bulle…

Honest leadership surrounding the conversation about data center development is what we need. Thank you @EricPrattMN for addressing the misinformation being actively spread about the industry. Minnesota passed nation leading legislation in 2025 with safe guards. Plain and simple.
Matt Little served in the Minnesota Senate. He knows there’s more to a legislative record than what fits into a campaign attack. I wasn’t in office when Minnesota created the original data center tax exemption. In 2013, when the DFL-controlled Legislature expanded it, I VOTED NO. Yes, HF 16 extended an existing exemption. It also added multimillion-dollar annual fees, water safeguards and protections against shifting utility costs onto other customers and families. Families shouldn’t have to fact-check every campaign attack. Doing the homework is my job. Giving you the facts and telling you the whole truth is my responsibility. I stand behind my vote.

The Minnesota Pipe Trades is honored to endorse Eric Pratt for congress. Eric has a proven track record in supporting our members and doesn’t play political games with their livelihoods.
I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the Minnesota Pipe Trades Association. Their members are plumbers, pipefitters, sprinklerfitters, HVAC and service technicians. These skilled men and women build, maintain and protect the infrastructure our communities depend on every day. Here in the 2nd District, the trades provide good careers, support families and help keep our communities growing. We need to keep creating opportunities for people to build a successful life through skilled work, apprenticeships and careers in the trades. I’m proud to have these hardworking men and women standing with me, and I’ll work just as hard to make sure they have a strong voice in Washington. #MN02

Governor Walz using an executive order in this fashion is a shining example of weak leadership. Caving to special interest environmental activists isn’t the right thing to do. It’s the easy thing to do.
I’m using my executive authority to ban nonferrous mining in the Boundary Waters.    As far as my administration is concerned, the fight for the future of the Boundary Waters is over. The verdict is in. The decision is made. We will protect this place.

We can’t have honest meaningful energy conversations in Minnesota without looking at every option. Minnesota remains the only state with a full nuclear moratorium. Thats not leading. Thats getting left behind.
New Jersey is the newest state to lift nuclear restrictions—and it won’t be the last. Rising demand means more projects, more hours, and more UA jobs.
