This is what renting your infrastructure gets you. One DNS hiccup and millions suddenly realize they don't control anything.
Some Ethereum validators run on AWS. But while other services are down, Ethereum keeps producing blocks.

Once-free countries are introducing dystopian measures such as digital IDs (UK), online age checks (Australia), and mass scanning of private messages (EU).
Germany is persecuting anyone who dares to criticize officials on the Internet. The UK is imprisoning thousands for their tweets. France is criminally investigating tech leaders who defend freedom and privacy.
A dark, dystopian world is approaching fast — while we’re asleep. Our generation risks going down in history as the last one that had freedoms — and allowed them to be taken away.
We’ve been fed a lie.
We’ve been made to believe that the greatest fight of our generation is to destroy everything our forefathers left us: tradition, privacy, sovereignty, the free market, and free speech.
By betraying the legacy of our ancestors, we’ve set ourselves on a path toward self-destruction — moral, intellectual, economic, and ultimately biological.
So no, I’m not going to celebrate today. I’m running out of time. WE are running out of time.

$ALEPH rewards cutting in half = inevitable buying pressure.
More Resource Nodes added to the network = incoming GPU support.
The Compute Resource Nodes rewards will be cut in half starting March 21st 2024. This halving policy aimed to counteract inflation by maintaining scarcity on $ALEPH emission. But it also comes with greater computing resources allocated to the network. ⚡️

We released a major milestone yesterday - @twentysixcloud cloud powered by aleph.im - a new marketplace with a Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) model. It’s a game-changer! Node owners will get to call the shots on pricing. We're the first to do this with a payment stream, and it's pretty awesome!
Remember how giants like AWS decide what you pay for cloud services? Well, we're flipping the script. Later this year, node owners will be able to set their own prices for their compute units (cu). It's all about giving power back to the community.
Even though still in alpha, our PAYG system is super flexible. You only pay for the exact resources you use, and you can pay with ALEPH tokens and with stablecoins on the horizon. No more overpaying for unused services!
This is big – for the first time ever, those who own Compute Resource Nodes and contribute to the network will be able to price their own resources. It's like each node is a mini-marketplace, transforming every owner into a market creator. This approach mirrors the creator community, empowering everybody to shape the market dynamics. It could really shake things up and bring better deals for everyone.
We built this on @avax and teamed up with @Superfluid_HQ for the token streaming, which is the backbone of our PAYG system. We're proud to lead the charge here to create a more open, fair, and efficient cloud market, and I can't wait to see how this will change things for the better!
