Benjamin Netanyahu will emerge as leader of the largest party after the Israeli general election, according to exit polls.
In a major upset, the veteran prime minister’s Likud finished with 25 seats, ahead of his main challenger party, Yashar, led by former general Gadi Eisenkot, which finished with 21.
However, both Mr Netanyahu’s governing coalition and the “change” bloc led by Mr Eisenkot appear to have fallen well short of the 61 of seats needed for a Knesset majority.

STARMER SUMMONED TO RAPE GANGS INQUIRY
Keir Starmer has been named a core participant in the national grooming gangs inquiry he resisted setting up for months, GB News reports. The former Prime Minister is expected to give evidence during the inquiry’s National Accountability Hearings in London in December and January. Further hearings follow in March and April…
The hearings will look at why previous probes failed to produce “meaningful change”, and will make institutions explain what they did to protect children. Whistleblowers Maggie Oliver and Jayne Senior are also core participants, alongside the MoJ, DfE, DfT, the Welsh Government and the Local Government Association. Labour peer Anne Longfield is leading the £65 million three-year inquiry – with powers to compel witnesses. Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp has already written to Longfield arguing that Starmer should be held to account for his time as Director of Public Prosecutions:
“Keir Starmer has claimed these catastrophic charging decisions as his, so he must answer for them – under oath.”
Manchester City Council is on the summons list too…

Good afternoon,
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to respond.
Yes, I have expressed support for some of Tommy Robinson’s views, particularly his willingness to raise issues such as grooming gangs at a time when many felt these concerns were not being properly addressed. Agreeing with someone on certain issues does not mean endorsing everything they say or do.
I believe in freedom of speech, holding those in power to account and speaking up about issues that others might prefer to ignore.
However, I do find it interesting that the focus is on social media posts I made years ago, rather than on my own background and experiences.
At just 18 years old, I was sent to fight in Iraq under a Labour government. I served my country, yet we went to war without being provided with all the equipment we needed. I would be interested to see the same level of scrutiny applied to the politicians responsible for sending young men and women into conflict without adequately equipping them.
Today, I am standing as a Reform UK candidate for Risca East because I want to stand up for local people, challenge a council that I believe has let our community down, and fight for greater accountability and value for taxpayers’ money.
I will not apologise for having opinions or for speaking up on issues I believe matter. I am happy to be judged on my views, my service to this country and, ultimately, what I intend to do for the people I hope to represent.

Young British men are being asked to die for a country that spends its time telling them they should be ashamed of it. Their schools and universities train them to see Britain as a racist colonial project that needs dismantling. Their culture is treated as something that only counts when it’s celebrating someone else.
Say you’re English and proud of it and you’re marked as the problem. At the same time the government opens the door to people who have already decided the West is the enemy, and sends billions overseas and into welfare for non-British nationals while the white working-class kids at the bottom of the education system get nothing.
That’s the deal on offer. Hate your own people, watch the state prioritize everyone else, then pick up a rifle when the politicians who built this mess decide it’s time. Most of them have already worked out there’s nothing left worth fighting for.
