The Doctor was not in Lagos. The Doctor was operating from RCCG Redemption City Health Village, Km 46 Lagos Ibadan Expressway, Mowe Ogun State Nigeria 😇
So Nigeria has quietly entered sci-fi territory, and this one actually surprised me.
And before you ask, “Which kind sci-fi?”
Sci-Fi is simply those movies where technology does things that normally look impossible.
Doctors in Lagos have now helped perform surgery on a patient in Abuja with the help of a robotic system.
The doctor was in Lagos.
The patient was in Abuja.
But somehow, the surgery was still going on.
The patient had a cancerous tumour in the kidney, and the operation was done through telesurgery.
I won't even lie, this one shock me.

Nigeria Records First Tele-Robotic Surgery As Surgeon in Ogun State Remotely Removes Cancerous Kidney Tumor From Patient In Abuja Using Satellite Internet Service
Nigeria has recorded its first tele-robotic surgery, marking a major milestone in West Africa’s medical sector.
The complex procedure, a robot assisted right radical nephrectomy to remove a cancerous kidney tumour, was performed by Redeemer’s Health Village (RHV) in collaboration with RoboMed Global.
The surgeon, Professor Ekwenna Davis, operated the robotic system in real time from a Toumai console at RHV in Mowe, Ogun State, while the patient was at Nisa Premier Hospital in Abuja, about 500 kilometres away.
The operation, which lasted about three hours, relied on Starlink connectivity, with MTN providing backup to ensure uninterrupted communication between the surgeon and the robotic system.
Davis, Co-founder of RoboMed Global and Professor of Urology and Transplantation, described the procedure as a demonstration of how technology could expand access to specialised medical care in Nigeria.
“The procedure we did was a telesurgery procedure where we were able to operate on a patient in Abuja, 500 kilometres away,” he said.
“This is just the beginning. It is a test, a pilot, of how innovation and technology can really help patients,” Davis added.
He said the development could allow Nigerians to access specialised surgical expertise without travelling abroad and enable Nigerian medical professionals in the diaspora to contribute remotely.
However, Davis noted that connectivity disruptions and weather conditions could pose challenges, stressing the need for reliable infrastructure and adequate safeguards.
RHV board chairman, Dr Kunle Onakoya, also clarified that the robot does not operate independently.
“The robot is still being controlled by a human being, by a very experienced and senior surgeon. It is just that the skills of that surgeon are now being magnified many times over by the robot,” he said.

Shame on those, especially Christians, dragging Pastor Chris for staging miracle just cos one guy didn’t get healed after being prayed for & needed money for surgery.
The God who did this one can choose not to do another & there is nothing anybody can do about it.
Omooooo × 1 billion ... JESUS IS POWERFUL ooh 🙌 🙏 😭
I didn't even know she was this BEAUTIFUL 🥹♥️
How can 1 person have KIDNEY FAILURE, CANDIDIASIS, CRYPTOCOCCAL MENINGITIS and HIV/AIDS
All Pastor Chris did was to speak from the TV... No physical contact, just words.
If the Doctors have given up on you, just come to the healing streams with Pastor Chris and start planning your testimony...
While I was on my way to prepare for an exec meeting, I was marveled to see a group of men playing golf on a Monday morning .
I just smiled and said to myself, soon.
They could be finalizing deals or just relaxing because their money is working.
Just interesting 🤔

In 2015, ISIS beheaded 20 Christian men who refused to deny Christ.
There was 1 man Matthew Ayariga, a migrant worker from Ghana who was not a Christian caught up in the mess, ISIS told him he could be spared and go free by just denying Christ, but after seeing these men of faith stand strong he boldy replied “Their God is my God”

A man of God said all these, and you children of whatever cut out a few seconds of it so that you can insult him?
I will tell you for free that what you are solving for will never be yours.
A child who made an oath that when he grows up, he will kill all the birds and eat their heads for breakfast forgets that the birds also pray that whoever would wipe them out should not live, not to talk of growing.
