My course mate, who has been jobless since we left university, has been squatting in my house since February this year.

when you really think about it, harry kane basically won the ballon d’or for scoring the most goals in europe, not because of what he won, because there are players who won more trophies than him. not because he was the most aesthetically pleasing, because there were players who surpassed him in that regard. not because of his contributions in big games, because there were players who had a greater impact in those moments.
and to be clear, i have absolutely no problem with harry kane winning it. my issue is that another player could put up a similar season next year, and suddenly, the criteria will change all over again.
that’s my biggest problem with the ballon d’or. the inconsistency. the criteria seem to change depending on who’s in contention, and that’s what makes it difficult to take the award seriously.
Every believer ought to be a kingdom financier, setting apart some of their resources to support God’s work, not through cajoling or gimmicks, but as a response to God’s love.
