Tonight, the American people sent a clear message — they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face.
These results were only possible because outstanding candidates stepped forward in every region of the country — including in areas once considered long shots. They came from different backgrounds and represented a range of political perspectives, but were united by shared values, a belief in public service, and a commitment to putting the people of their districts and states first.
We also owe a debt of gratitude to the thousands of election officials and volunteers from both parties who helped ensure a smooth election and carried out one of the most essential functions of our democracy.
While this administration has another two years in office, our job now is to roll up our sleeves, make changes wherever we have the power to do so, prevent further damage, and lay the groundwork for the future.

NEW: In his first year running Ontario's largest school board, the Ford government's TDSB supervisor logged more than twice as many meetings with the board's $20B real estate arm than he did with parent groups, calendar entries reveal.
The FOI records offer a rare glimpse into the supervisor’s day-to-day work, raising concerns that parents have taken a back seat under provincial supervision. Story: thetrillium.ca/news/educatio…
Imagine claiming to believe in and follow the teachings of Jesus, who was publicly executed, and then glorifying public executions by wanting to live stream them.
Make it make sense.

NEW: Ontario education unions are ramping up strike preparations.
ETFO, OECTA and CUPE-OSBCU have scheduled strike votes for November as contract talks with the Ford government remain stalled over a dispute about the bargaining rules themselves.
ETFO president David Mastin said parents can “expect a proportional response to the challenging times that we're in right now.” thetrillium.ca/news/educatio…

Update to class sizes around here. Two Math classes over 50 kids, two Phys-Ed classes over 40 kids, one ESL class at 36 kids.
It will hopefully get sorted at re-org but it's awful right now 😔 #onted

My favourite block of all time. This douche purports himself as offering neutral opinions on all things food/grocery related in Canada. I pointed out he took $60k from the Weston Foundation and he blocked me. Keep that in mind whenever he’s offering opinions. Weston family shill
Republicans hold the majority in all 3 branches of Government.
Trump could issue the $5000 "dividend" right now.
He won't now. And he won't if they win the midterms.

Pierre Poilievre says "All Canadians stand united in denouncing Trump's tweets, trolling and tariffs...."
Hahaha ha, no Pierre your RW Influencers are literally cheering it on, support it, adding to it, and love the trolling.
This is a total lie by Poilievre.

Parents, DYK, that if your child's classroom teacher is a long term occasional teacher, even for the year they are not entitled to any money under @fordnation @PaulCalandra. My community's FB pages are full of pleas for help.

On this Labor Day we give our thanks to the millions of trade unionists in our country who are leading the fight for economic, social and racial justice.
Thanks to all of you for what you’re doing. Let’s go forward together.
EQAO Grade 9 Math will now count for 20% of a student’s final grade. #onted
How is it equitable to give a single standardized test that much weight, especially for students with IEPs, exceptionalities, anxiety or other barriers?
