I’m more worried about people transitioning to racism in BC. Seems like that is the real trans problem.

Corrupt autocracies prefer to do business with other corrupt autocracies because the profits are personal on both sides, not for the state or the country. No oversight, no investigations.
The US is willing to betray its closest allies in Europe, a market of 450 million people and an economy worth nearly $20 trillion, just to cut shady, corrupt deals with Putin's Russia, an economy roughly the size of Italy's. What an absolutely insane foreign policy.

Elon is doing real reputational damage to himself, his products and American systems. These lies about the situation may be useful cover for the general population but national governments will not be pleased here. Consequences may take years to appear but it won’t be forgotten.

Who are the Loyalist Pioneers? And why are they rallying in Victoria after a Conservative win? Well, for one, they’re affiliated with Second Sons - the goons who rallied outside the Kamloops residential school recently. Come pick up you trash @AaronGunn
These masked guys showing up to stand outside the BC Parliament Buildings, the morning after a conservative win, isn't a great sign.

A high priority for Western backers of Ukraine should be the destruction of critical facilities related to the production of Russian long range strike capabilities. This will have lasting consequences for the Russian state’s conventional threat to Europe. Recent strikes suggest such a campaign is being pursued, if slowly.
The value that Storm Shadow has displayed underlines how important things like the Taurus would still be in dismantling elements of Russia’s MIC. It is disappointing they never got sent. Along with things like JASSM, which has seen some questionable expenditures.

In one day, two politicians - Bolsonaro in Brazil and Vucic in Serbia - with ties to Trump and his family have lost surprise elections, thanks to high turnout. The rise of the international far-right is not inevitable.

Imagine being a CEO of an US energy company and thinking that you work with close associates of the Trump family, only to find out that behind them is a sanctioned Russian company, really pulling the strings. This happened in Alaska. Polar Train LNG's CEO, Joel Riddle, stepped down after finding out that the Russian "Novatek" company, which is under US sanctions, has been involved in a $25 billion energy project in Alaska. The CEO thought that he was working with Gentry Beach, a close friend of Donald Trump Junior. Reportedly, that project was also discussed between Witkoff and Jared Kushner when they were with Putin. The White House admitted that the project was talked about "briefly". We are witnessing the greatest corruption scandal the USA has ever witnessed. It all leads to Trump, his family and the Russians, and apparently they were even ready to sell riches of Alaska to the Russians. The people in Alaska just need to look over to Russia, where the richest regions in terms of minerals and hydrocarbon resources have been stripped-mined, transferring all the wealth to Moscow and Saint Petersburg and leaving a scarred landscape in extreme poverty. That is the result of rampant corruption. We are starting to see more details why Trump and his friends are trying so strongly to bully Ukraine into surrender. This is most certainly only the tip of the iceberg.

According to polls as of today it’s appearing likely that by 2028, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan & Alberta will have NDP provincial govts while BC will have a NanaimoBarMAGA BC Con govt. People in all those provinces experienced the horrors of Cons & have regretted them badly.

You see the “BC Conservatives” win today but it’s just the same right wing crew changing the party name who win throughout the decades as “Social Credit” and “BC Liberals.” It’s the same body in a different suit.

We celebrate Lula's re-election not because Lula is a friend of Ukraine - he clearly isn't - but as a victory against the far right, against authoritarianism and against Trump. Sending warm greetings to left-wing and labour movement forces in Brazil that have stood with Ukraine

It will take time for the new conservative government to implement its destructive policies. So if you have BC on your bucket list go as soon as possible to see its majestic mountains, rivers, oceans, whales and pristine forests, before they are gone forever.

I don’t mean to be a pessimist but we have been drowning here in Alberta You can expect much of the same Very unfortunate.
A lot of people were frustrated with David Eby, so I'm not entirely surprised by the election results. But if the BC Conservatives start selling off ICBC, privatizing healthcare, pandering to culture-war bs, and passing legislation that attacks human rights... Then I expect serious push back from Britisih Columbians.
