@ScottMorrisonMP @AngusTaylorMP THERE’S NO TIME TO WASTE because life will be very different for these little citizens of the world if we don’t act THIS DECADE! THEY’RE ALREADY ASKING WHY WE’VE BEEN ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL FOR SO LONG #TheYouthAreRising #schoolstrike4climate

Nice work @Coles You managed to sell my mum an EMPTY soda stream bottle and make her pay for it. Someone scanned it and failed to notice box was open and empty. How is that possible?

Today is International Day of Forests.
Victoria has the most beautiful and carbon dense forests in the world.
Yet VicForests lost $54 million last year to log them.

Just beyond the plantations, we visited an area of native forest which is scheduled for logging. Steep terrain, with (to my eyes) generally low quality timber - and mostly quite young. So probably will end up largely as pulp.

We are off looking at areas threatened by logging in north east VIC. Locals wanted to show us the plantation harvesting too. No drainage lines protected, imagine the erosion into the Ovens River when it rains. What a horror show.

On Sunday I visited Toolangi Forest in the Central Highlands.
The increased bush fire risk is there for all to see.
The science is clear - we need to stop native forest logging now, before it’s too late.

@TPG_Telecom It will be one week since my 85 year old mother switched her mobile and internet to you. She has not had a phone service as you keep sending verification codes to activate her new sim to her old number. I repeat, she’s in her 80s. She has no phone. I have no
We just come to expect appalling service and resign ourselves to it. I repeat, my mother is in her 80s with health problems and the earliest you can connect her to her phone is a week after she paid for and inserted the new SIM card you sent her. Perhaps you could have some
Compassion? Mother distressed and tearful because she feels she’s put everyone to so much trouble. What a rotten bunch you are. #tpgpleasehelp

It's just exhausting, constantly countering industry misinformation like this.

Please like and retweet if you think that tree planting and forest restoration initiatives should be mandated across the globe to accelerate climate action.

The drought in Somalia is driving millions to the brink of starvation. The entire continent of Africa only contributes 3% of total global emissions. Where is the climate justice?

An updated map of the logging that is planned for Mt Stirling, in the VIC high country, which could start at any moment.

By the time you finish reading this sentence, another three hectares of forest have been cut down!

There is clearly a strong desire to see urgent action to protect native forests. The strong showing by The Greens demonstrates the community expectation for a rapid phase out of logging.

The Vic govt spends $21m of taxpayer dollars per year to cut down and burn native forests.
It endangers species like the Greater Glider & 90% of logs go to wood chips.
When The Age asked Liberal @JohnPesutto about it, they got:
