The Nigerian market experience is not for the weak. It requires confidence, patience and negotiation skills.
- The seller gives you one price
- You give another price
- Both of you pretend to be offended
- Somehow, you eventually agree
- And everybody walks away feeling like they won.
Are you good at bargaining or do you just pay?

The best programmes are not designed for communities. They are designed with them.
This week, we brought together our Local Rights Programme (LRP) partners from across the 10 LRP states to plan side by side ahead of 2027.
When partners help shape the plan, the work isn't just delivered. It gets owned. That is the difference a planning meeting can make.
Think of the last plan your organisation made. Who was in the room, and who was missing?
LRP partners, tag your state and tell us the moment that stayed with you this week

As the HR, I decided to carry out an underground investigation to find out what was happening. I didn’t want to jump to conclusions.
Maybe some staff members were taking the tissue home, or perhaps the office lunch was a reason they were visiting the restroom more frequently.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT: “Sir, I’m sorry, but we’ll need you to move to seat 28C. A family needs your seat so they can sit together.”
PASSENGER: “I’m sitting in 3A.”
FLIGHT ATTENDANT: “Yes, sir. I’m aware.”
PASSENGER: “I paid extra to reserve 3A.”
FLIGHT ATTENDANT: “I understand, sir, but the family is travelling with two young children. Their seats are separated, and we’re trying to make things easier for them.”
PASSENGER: “So you decided to make things difficult for me instead?”
FLIGHT ATTENDANT: “Sir, it’s only a small inconvenience. You’ll still have a seat.”
PASSENGER: “Then why don’t you offer them your seat?”
The flight attendant didn’t respond.
A few minutes later, she returned with the senior cabin supervisor.
