Interesting development on securing internet feed by decentralization
Europe and Canada are being connected by a direct undersea internet cable that bypasses the US.
The project will be called Leif Erikson, named after one of the first Scandinavian explorers to reach America.
It will be one of the first parts of Canada's "Sovereign Cable System" because a large majority of current cables are either passing by the US or controlled by US companies.
The cable itself will be built and operated by Bulk, a Norwegian digital infrastructure company.
Europe is building resilience into a global ecosystem that has many chokepoints controlled by the US.

The proposed framework requires:
- 1:1 reserves held at qualified Canadian financial institutions.
- Users must be able to exchange stablecoins for cash within THREE business days.
- Fees for converting stablecoins back into cash capped at 1%.
The 60-day consultation ends December 23, with the rules expected to take effect in late 2027.
My Experience with @GoMining Miner Wars
It has been interesting week. Miner Wars certainly engages the competitive side of me and also the worry, "Will I make solo?"
In the end with the help of GoMinions app I was able to stay the course and come out ahead of solo by 20% in terms of btc earnings. The clan spent 688 gmt boosting and mining only 325 gmt. This is where the clan came out below solo by 25%. The chart at the very bottom and in very small print is the full story we ended up behind 216 gmt.
Analysis
Boosting strategy and discipline is key and can make the difference between making more than solo or not.
Progressing to higher leagues will only exacerbate this issue because my 3330 th clan is the whale in dune, but will be small fry in horizon and up. In dune my clan had a natural 13% chance for a block. Once in horizon that will easily drop.
Boosting is a necessity to win those blocks and the competition can be fierce in horizon. We spent 688 gmt in dune, to get our return in btc but was it worth that risk? No. Once in horizon i am expecting the boosting budget would need to increase probably twofold in order to get a reasonable 15 to 20% chance for a block. Unfortunately my warchest is not ready for it.
Conclusion
I will exit Miner Wars having gained valuable experience. Don't be lured by the prospect of winning blocks with high payouts without considering the costs of boosting. If you don't have an adequate tool to monitor your boosting expenditure you are gambling away your money. The auto spell bot and budget help immensely with controlling costs and strategy but there is a lack of a built in tool in the gm app to monitor the costs.
Maybe my next experiment will be to join a large established clan in Oddessy and see how that goes. Before i do that i will need to rebuild a warchest to cover maintenance and boosting.

🚨SHOCKING - FIR against Malabar:
A man walked into a Malabar Gold showroom in Bilaspur with a simple request: exchange his old 22-carat HUID-hallmarked bracelet.
The staff ran it through their XRF machine. Once. Twice. Three times.
Every reading came back the same: 20 carat.
They even told him the hallmark didn’t exist.
He called the local jeweller who had sold him the bracelet. The jeweller walked in, confirmed the HUID, and asked them to test it again.
Same machine. Same bracelet. Same room.
This time an employee adjusted something on the machine. Suddenly the reading flipped to 916 - pure 22 carat.
The jeweller recorded everything. The Sarafa Association arrived. Police registered an FIR against the showroom manager and the machine operator. The machine and DVR were seized.

A new security report warns that Tailscale SSH has flaws that could let a hacker move from one compromised device to root access on other servers. Tailscale SSH lets approved devices log in to each other over a private network. The report lists 11 findings in five groups.
They cover Tailscale’s SSH server, its serve and app connector features, the DERP relay client, and headscale, an open-source server that manages Tailscale networks.
The researcher tested Tailscale 1.104.2 and headscale 0.29.5 between October 22 and October 24, 2026. The most serious group involves Tailscale SSH. Its SSH server runs inside tailscaled, a background program with full root privileges on the machine.
