Any writer, even the apostolic writers, are just commentators, no more inspired of insightful than commentators today. They have their strengths and their weaknesses. Modern commentators have the advantage of having all previous writers at their disposal. And, this is very often forgotten, they didn’t all address every subject and they did not all agree. Scripture is the only body of writings that are inspired. None of the church writers are. They may have good (and erroneous) things to say but they all have to be evaluated for veracity or error.

Daniel 9:4-19 ESV I prayed to the LORD my God and made confession, saying, "O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, We have sinned and done wrong and acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and rules. We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. To you, O Lord, belongs righteousness, but to us open shame, as at this day, to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, those who are near and those who are far away, in all the lands to which you have driven them, because of the treachery that they have committed against you. To us, O LORD, belongs open shame, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against you. To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against him and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God by walking in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets. All Israel has transgressed your law and turned aside, refusing to obey your voice. And the curse and oath that are written in the Law of Moses the servant of God have been poured out upon us, because we have sinned against him. He has confirmed his words, which he spoke against us and against our rulers who ruled us, by bringing upon us a great calamity. For under the whole heaven there has not been done anything like what has been done against Jerusalem. As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this calamity has come upon us; yet we have not entreated the favor of the LORD our God, turning from our iniquities and gaining insight by your truth. Therefore the LORD has kept ready the calamity and has brought it upon us, for the LORD our God is righteous in all the works that he has done, and we have not obeyed his voice. And now, O Lord our God, who brought your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and have made a name for yourself, as at this day, we have sinned, we have done wickedly. "O Lord, according to all your righteous acts, let your anger and your wrath turn away from your city Jerusalem, your holy hill, because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and your people have become a byword among all who are around us. Now therefore, O our God, listen to the prayer of your servant and to his pleas for mercy, and for your own sake, O Lord, make your face to shine upon your sanctuary, which is desolate. O my God, incline your ear and hear. Open your eyes and see our desolations, and the city that is called by your name. For we do not present our pleas before you because of our righteousness, but because of your great mercy. O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive. O Lord, pay attention and act. Delay not, for your own sake, O my God, because your city and your people are called by your name."

My parents were married for 55 years. One morning, my mom was going downstairs to make dad breakfast, she had a heart attack and fell. My father picked her up as best he could and almost dragged her into the truck. At full speed , without respecting traffic lights, he drove her to the hospital. When he arrived, unfortunately she was no longer with us. During the funeral, my father did not speak; his gaze was lost. He hardly cried. That night, his children joined him. In an atmosphere of pain and nostalgia, we remembered beautiful anecdotes and he asked my brother, a theologian, to tell him where Mom would be at that moment. My brother began to talk about life after death, and guesses as to how and where she would be. My father listened carefully. Suddenly he asked us to take him to the cemetery. Dad!" we replied, "it's 11 at night, we can't go to the cemetery right now!" He raised his voice, and with a glazed look he said: "Don't argue with me, please don't argue with the man who just lost his wife of 55 years." There was a moment of respectful silence, we didn't argue anymore. We went to the cemetery, we asked the night watchman for permission. With a flashlight we reached the tomb. My father caressed her, prayed and told his children, who watched the scene moved: "It was 55 years... you know? No one can talk about true love if they have no idea what it's like to share life with a woman." He paused and wiped his face. "She and I, we were together in that crisis. I changed jobs ..." he continued. "We packed up when we sold the house and moved out of town. We shared the joy of seeing our children finish their careers, we mourned the departure of loved ones side by side, we prayed together in the waiting room of some hospitals, we support each other in pain, we hug each Christmas, and we forgive our mistakes... Children, now it's gone, and I'm happy, do you know why? Because she left before me. She didn't have to go through the agony and pain of burying me, of being left alone after my departure. I will be the one to go through that, and I thank God. I love her so much that I wouldn't have liked her to suffer..." When my father finished speaking, my brothers and I had tears streaming down our faces. We hugged him, and he comforted us, "It's okay, we can go home, it's been a good day." That night I understood what true love is; It is far from romanticism, it does not have much to do with eroticism, or with sex, rather it is linked to work, to complement, to care and, above all, to the true love that two really committed people profess ". Peace in your hearts

🚨 JUST IN: SecWar Pete Hegseth just launched a new program that lets troops become CHAPLAINS without leaving the military, and the service branch PAYS for seminary ONE NATION UNDER GOD!✝️🇺🇸 "Chaplains are the moral backbone of this military." "For years, a war fighter who felt called to the chaplaincy had only one [option]: take off the uniform, pay for seminary yourself, and then hope you can find and fight your way back in. We lost a lot of those great Americans, good warriors who wanted to answer God's call. But not anymore." "President Trump's Department of War will not make you choose between the uniform and your calling." - Active duty with a bachelor's degree — you stay in uniform - Earn your graduate theological degree - Keep your pay, allowances, and benefits - Your branch covers the tuition - Return to the force as a chaplain "Be strong and very courageous. Your flock awaits." It's the first win for Hegseth's new Office of Religious Affairs, and Congress passed it with bipartisan support Faith is BACK in our military! This is exactly what I voted for. No wonder morale is at an all-time high.

He looked calm until he said the parents are the ones slowly dying. Graham was going on about the hospital visits, how much the kids love Captain Jack, all the pictures. Depp sat there, then flipped it. He said the visits aren’t a gift he gives them. They’re the gift. He started talking about Great Ormond Street, how he’d already been there as a parent when his daughter was ill. Called it the darkest time of his life, right around Sweeney Todd. Then he drew the line: the kids are strong. It’s the parents you watch break. He paused after that, like he didn’t mean to say it out loud, before adding that bringing even a small smile is everything now. Most celebrities treat those visits like nice press. He talked about them like the only part of the character that still feels real.

Bill Maher’s audience audibly gasps when he reveals the only person who lacked etiquette at the Trump dinner was HIMSELF, and that Trump couldn’t have treated him any better. MAHER: “I’m glad that we talked. And by the way, if anyone lacked etiquette at that dinner, it was ME.” “I brought Stephen A. Smith. He was perfect, on point. ‘I give myself an A-plus for choosing him.’” “But me... Trump never lost his temper. He never yelled. He never interrupted. I did. I could not have been treated better if I was Russian.” Moments earlier, Maher told critics in the news media that he went face to face with the man and said the things they’re only brave enough to write in articles he’ll never read. His message for them: “You know what? F*ck you, I like these dinners!”

Listen to every word “I voted. I was standing in that voting booth thinking about high gas prices, expensive groceries, housing costs and the financial pressure on working families. Then my mind went to France, to Dearborn, Michigan and I realized this election is about far more than gas and groceries. It's about our future, radical Islam, national security, illegal immigration, our borders, education, parental rights, sex and gender policies, and the values our children inherit. I couldn't see myself voting for a party that hates America, apologizes for our country, is ashamed of our flag, and wants to rewrite our history and abandon our values. So I voted red, not because Republicans get everything right, always do right by everyday Americans, or are free from corruption, but because I believe we can only fix this country if we still have a country left to fix” I could not have said it better myself. Voting Blue is literally voting to end America and for the eventual Islamic takeover of America. Voting Democrat means being wiped out by illegals, having our elections permanently rigged, our culture replaced and never having a way out Everyone needs to vote Red like your life depends on it because it does

In December 1958 the Polish embassy in Beijing refused to let the sparrow killers onto its grounds, so the Chinese surrounded it with drummers and kept the drums going for two days until every bird sheltering in the garden had dropped dead from the air, and the diplomats cleared them up with shovels. That is how thorough it was. The campaign had been running since the spring. Every village, school and factory was turned out with gongs, pans and firecrackers to keep the sparrows flying until their hearts gave out. Nests were torn from eaves, eggs smashed, chicks killed, and children went through the fields with slingshots and were paid by the bird. The dead came in by the basket, strung on wires, piled on carts, and the totals went up the chain as a harvest. Something close to two billion sparrows in two years. The embassy garden was the last place in the capital with birdsong in it, and the drums got that too. A zoologist called Zhu Xi had told them before it started that a king had tried this and lost. Frederick the Great of Prussia had put a bounty on sparrows in the 1740s to save his grain and his cherries, and the sparrows went, and the caterpillars they had been eating stripped his orchards to the stalk, and the king cancelled the bounty and paid to have sparrows brought back from neighbouring states and let loose. The whole episode was in the library. The ministry had a figure for what a sparrow ate and no figure for what it did, and a man with the second figure was told to sit down. The locusts arrived on schedule. Then the grain borers. A sparrow takes a few grains from a field in autumn and feeds its chicks nothing but insects all spring, and with the sparrows gone the insects had the rice and the wheat to themselves. The counties with the most sparrows to lose saw their grain fall the furthest, and the rice and wheat that had been holding the country up went down together. That was 1959, and the state took its grain quota anyway, on the harvest that had been reported. What was left in the villages was not enough, and the famine that followed over the next three years is the largest in human history: tens of millions dead, the estimates running from fifteen million to forty-five, whole counties in Anhui and Sichuan where the living could not bury the dead. The sparrows were one cause among several and the economists who have gone back to the county records put the bird's share at something over two million people, with another four hundred thousand never born. Two million, from a campaign against a thing that weighs an ounce. By 1960 the ornithologist Tso-hsin Cheng, who had been cutting open dead sparrows and counting the insects in their stomachs, got the bird struck off the list and bed bugs put in its place. There were almost no sparrows left in China to pardon. So the government did what Prussia had done two centuries before: it bought a quarter of a million sparrows from the Soviet Union and shipped them east in crates, to be released into a country that had drummed every one of their relatives out of the sky. The animal that does the invisible job is always the one on the ledger as a cost. Take the sheep off a chalk down and the orchids are under scrub in twenty years. Fence the cattle off a Welsh hill and the bracken takes it. Empty a savannah of its herds and the grass goes to fire. All of it written down, all of it in the library, all of it available to the next committee with a figure for what a cow eats. Beijing paid Moscow for the birds in hard currency. The men who had said so in 1958 were still not allowed to say so in 1960.

This daddy was told by his 8 year old daughter that she went to the restroom at school and a boy walked in there to watch her pee and that she went to the front office and told them what happened and they told her that there’s NOTHING they can do about it. Well, the Daddy went in front of the Cabarrus School board to protect his daughter’s right.: “ Cowards… I’ll tell you what, I wanna prove that y’all are hypocrites. So each of you ladies, I want you to invite your husbands and let’s go to the bathroom and I want them to watch me watch you use the bathroom and let’s see if they get mad… Now stand up and do something, you’re so scared to lose federal funding, it’s ridiculous… There’s one woman on this board that stands up for the people and the kids. That’s a role model. Listen and pay attention, that’s why she gets the votes…” This is how it’s done Parents🙏🏼🔥🔥🔥

"Without a single word, this photograph speaks volumes beyond words." "Ian is 15 years old. In 2019, he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a type of cancer. After surgery and several months of chemotherapy, Ian was declared cured of cancer. However, in November 2021, the cancer recurred and spread throughout his body. Last week, Ian and his family were told there was nothing more they could do. The cancer he had fought and defeated before is now the same cancer that will soon take his life. Ian cried when he learned he was going to die. But he wasn't afraid of dying. He was okay with it. Ian was sad because, in his own words, "I wanted to do just one good thing in the world before I said goodbye to everyone." Ian decided to tell his friends and brother that his cancer would eventually kill him. I think this photo represents the "good" that Ian wanted to share with the world Despite the heartbreaking diagnosis, Ian was comforting his friends and younger brother. In this photograph, Ian's brother Peter is crying. Peter had just learned that he had little time left to spend with his brother. Ian hugged him tightly, kissed him on the forehead, and apologized to Peter for not being able to overcome the cancer. Ian says he's sad, but he doesn't mind dying. Because, in his words, "dying" is something that happens, but he doesn't want to just sit and wait for it. Instead, he has chosen to live as long as he can until the very end. In truth, Ian refuses to live for himself. He chooses to live for others until his last breath.

While the same boring satellite image of the destruction of Rafah still does the rounds, let me end this argument with a single super slow motion video. Watch the order. The charges run in a line through the neighborhood, block after block. Then the ground heaves, and the dust comes up in a row where the buildings were standing. That is NOT an airstrike wandering across a city. That’s one route being collapsed, and the homes that were built on top of it going with it. Hamas dug the tunnel under the houses. The houses were the cover. The people in Gaza were fully aware of the tunnels beneath their homes. And even though they knew, THEY WERE NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE SHELTER IN THEM BY HAMAS ORDERS. The photos of the rubble you see in the satellite images are the photos of the cover coming off.
