I can't explain it to those who have not experienced it, but I always look forward to going to the UK because my mobility is more unrestricted there. I don't have to drive from London to Manchester, and I can hop on a bus or train to get anywhere.
I love Ghana, but I hate driving in traffic. The journey from Ghana to Togo also needs a train line. Driving on that road between Tema and Aflao with all the speed bumps is an exercise in patience.
We need more trains in Africa. I love Europe as a whole because of this unrestricted mobility. It is also an economic accelerator. We spend a fortune on roads when rail could also do the same work or better.
