It's #WorldTeachersDay so we'd like to say a big huge THANK YOU to all the amazing educators making such a massive difference to children everywhere ❤️
We'd love to hear your teacher shout-outs - maybe you had one who changed your life, or your child's teacher is amazing?

We bought a copy for the school library. I think it's really important for children who were perhaps too young to remember lockdown at the time, to have a tangible reminder of what our children have gone through, when it becomes a long and distant memory.

I love our copies! So many beautiful pieces of writing from talented youngsters. My daughter is delighted to see her name in print for the very first time. We are giving a copy to her teacher.

Today we welcome back our tutors returning to @Juliansprimary. It’s a new team at the West Norwood site with Jose and Sam making up the #Literacy Lab. They are excited to get back to working with the #children and helping them catch up with their literacy skills🏫 #backtoschool

Super chuffed to have my daughter's anti-bullying poem appear in this lovely anthology, which is also raising money for the Children's Literacy Charity :) @MarchHamilton

On a day that 600 books are published, we'd like to wish all authors, publishers and booksellers bon chance - and also, for our own dear indie community - start this thread as a way to highlight some of the wonderful autumn releases coming out from small presses /1

Please don't ask your independent bookshop (or any independent business) to price match Amazon. A thread (which I have thought long and hard about writing).

Just a little reminder that reviews make a huge difference to indie publishers and our authors!
If you've read and loved a book, and have five minutes to spare, please do share your thoughts online.

Atticus: "Shoot all the bluejays you want, if you can hit 'em, but remember it's a sin to kill a mockingbird."
Mockingbird: *cheers*
Bluejay: "Dude, I'm right here."
Albatross: "It's 'a sin'?" *smirks, lights cigarette* "Wait 'til they get a load of me..."

If it’s good & you like it, keep reading. YA is an age group, not a genre & while it usually indicates the age of the protagonist it doesn’t define the themes which can often be braver & more honest than a lot of general fiction

🚨PLEASE HELP STRESSED MA STUDENT🚨
Looking for some people who'd be willing to answer a few q's over email about children's #mentalhealth representation in #childrensliterature (why it matters, if there's enough rep in children's literature, the #publishing industry's role etc)

Winding down for the evening.
Very thankful for the community that we're a small part of, not just here on Twitter but out in the world as well.
The children's book community often feels like a big family and that's ace ❤️
