The heartwarming moment a Brisbane mother had her first cuddle with her newborn premature baby has been captured on video.
Baby Charlotte, who was unable to breathe and barely the size of a mango, was born 15 weeks early at Mater Mothers’ Private Hospital in south Brisbane.
Parents Julia and Chris Plackner were told Charlotte had a 60 to 70 per cent chance of survival before she was born, but the baby girl has since defeated all odds.
