A shameful episode thats already been forgotten about
This is also the result of “both are equally bad” rhetoric. Sometimes a lesser evil is correct in both terms
A year has passed since the beginning of El-Fasher massacre, one of the worst episodes of ethnic-based genocide since Rwanda genocide three decades ago.
Rapid Support Forces, a UAE-sponsored militia waging brutal war against Sudan's military government has long before then been accused of ethnic cleansing of Darfur region. They targeted and killed non-Arab inhabitants of the region for years, but on October 26, 2025, when besieged city of El-Fasher fell to the militia, violence reached an unprecedented level of brutality.
Tens of thousands of civilians were systematically gunned down in the streets, in hospitals and while trying to flee the city. Many militants filmed themselves commiting the massacre, and then subsequently published said videos online.
Piles of bodies and gigantic blood stains on the desert were visible from space on satellite imagery. Yet despite overwhelming evidence, and brutality unheard of in decades, the massacre was mostly under-reported in the Western media sphere.
UAE continues to sponsor RSF to this day.
May the world never forget.

no amount of twitter discourse can convince me that halloween is bad. you simply can't do it. like any good millennial, hocus pocus is permanently engraved onto my soul which means halloween is axiomatically charming and good and a core part of the soul of america
A biological attack is planned for Saturday
600 million pounds of sugar laced with synthetic chemicals will enter the bodies of our children.
Wreaking metabolic havoc, injuring vascular architecture, acidifying oral lining, releasing bacterial toxins, and blunting neural reward pathways.
Instructing that gluttonous consumption of poison is celebratory.
Most completely implausible but funny outcome; Trump makes a last-ditch deal to cut and run - the street is opened and Iran "moves" it's nuclear program to a joint one operated with Saudi Arabia on Saudi soil, Saudi pays everyone up bajillion dollars
This is literally the most significant development of the entire war.
The Defence Minister of Saudi Arabia, a royal, a member of the Al Saud family and the younger brother of MBS, is in Tehran trying to create a potential scenario for peace with the Ansrallah Houthis and the Iranian governments.
This is being done for two main reasons I see.
1. It is being done because the Ansrallah Houthis have caused significant damage to oil exports and have the potential to cause further damage to Saudi Arabia's economy, numerous sectors and potential to destroy significant critical infrastructure across the kingdom, especially if the war continues with USA.
2. This is likely being pulled as Trump's last ditch effort to create an Off-Ramp for America and the Saudi's benefit from this approach as well and they are doing this to try to create a new reality.
This is a significant development and I wrote about this exact scenario back in May that is now playing out. Link to the full analysis in my article below comments section. A must read.
Signal, not noise
Terhram can claim that it is keeping its program, Trump can claim Iran will never get a nuclear weapon, Saudi can pretend it's getting an advantage by making peace with Iran even while giving up Yemen entirely,
This used to be "well I'm socially liberal but financially conservative" types, but now it's more "grey tribe" techies and fake moderates

My oil analyst told me The Irgc kept eating his tankers so I asked how many tankers he has and he said he just goes to the gulf and gets a new ta ker afterwards so I said it sounds like he's just feeding tankers to the Irgc and then his captains started crying."

It seems to be that two political theories of the last decade have both been proven true at the same time:
1) the centrist Democrats have not actually brought over a reliable, significant number of centrist Republicans. The vast majority of Rs still think that any R is better than any D and simply hold their noses no matter how awful. We still haven't found a bottom of how low they will sink.
2) When more left-wing candidates have run, the theory that moving to the left will attract new voters who are energized by liberal populism has not really shown up in election results either, with a few exceptions in already liberal areas.
I think that part of the internal struggle of the Democratic party is that neither its centrist nor left leaning wings have been able to grow the party in sustainable ways. We are all still just fighting over the same 2-3% of anti-incumbent swing voters each cycle.
Does that seem right?

Guy who has complained about George Soros for years has given 4x more than George Soros ever gave in a single cycle, the largest amount spent on a single election by an individual in history
This story is the wildest thing I've read in a while. And if it's even a quarter true..
The GRU hacked into Jared Kushner's iPhone. Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) then recruited a GRU spy who gave them access to the hacked phone. What MIVD discovered was that Kushner had access to two bank accounts --one Azerbaijani, the other Israeli --where Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati ruler Mohammed bin Zayed deposited money. It sounds like a slightly far-fetched episode of "Slow Horses," but it's real. And it proves just how eye-poppingly corrupt this administration was and continues to be as its "special envoy" decides the fate of tens of millions in Europe in the Middle East. Simply incredible reporting by Matthew Cole, drawn from his new book on Kushner. vanityfair.com/story/jared-k…
