Here are some defensive highlights from my tournaments in Hoover and Emerson. Primary outfielder but played some first base in both tournaments.

Matt was a consistent contributor in the lineup all summer!
Plays the game hard, and hits the ball harder. Not intimidated by speed, and he’s shown off some real power this summer. Plays OF but had no problem moving over to 1st.
Also as you can see, a physical beast in the weight room!
Some program is going to get very lucky with how hard he works.
Had a fun summer with the Top Tier Americans 17u playing a competitive schedule. Below are some swings.

Rips it hard up the middle for a knock. Simple in box w/ a wide stance and works into an athletic hitters position. Does a good job keeping his head steady and barrel level thru the zone. #WCInvite @TopTier_HQ @TopTierBaseball @MatthewTom40

Hit a home run over the LF wall at the @PerfectGameUSA 16u World Series today. @SoxHype @KyleRuchim @Drajko47 @hitsmartbsbl @HCReddevilBB
Hit a ground rule double to CF yesterday. Please check out how I avoid the tag at the plate to tie the game.
Had a great time at the @prepbaseball 16u National Championships. My team went 5-1. I finished the tournament with a 2B, 3B, HR (Offsite), and 3 SB.

Love this video, Matthew. Passes the "eye test" and the numbers validate the strength and athleticism to play the game at a high level. Excited to see this one on June 4 at the H3 Showcase in Charlottesville.
