Conscription in Ukraine have turned into torture.
The video shows a 14-year-old boy being led out of one of these enlistment offices / torture sites. He had no reason to be there at all.
The complete impunity of this utterly unacceptable, chaotic forced mobilizationβthrough which billions of dollars in bribes are collected and which is protected by all of Zelenskyyβs security structuresβcan led to these terrifying consequences.
People are taking to the streets against the police and the enlistment officers, opposing Zelenskyyβs monstrous policies that treat human life as nothing more than another opportunity to make money.
If the EU continues to stand behind this Zelenskyy, who is killing his own people, then Ukrainians will defend themselves.
In this place, covered by law officers, conscription officers were taken men for torture. Tonight, this place of horror was revealed and men were saved by the people. Zelenskyyβs chief-of-staff came to help

Didier Fassin's second lecture on Gaza.
"The Time Has Come. Autopsy of an Outrage β Part II: Life. What Is a Human Being Worth
On 20 October, Didier Fassin delivered the second of three IWM Lectures in Human Sciences. They represent an attempt to account for what happened both on the ground and in the world three years into the Israeli military campaign that has resulted in the destruction and occupation of Gaza and the decimation of its population. The lectures are structured around what Michel Foucault analyzed in The Order of Things as the three βquasi-transcendental componentsβ of the modern episteme, namely language, life, and labor.
"Life," the second lecture, focused on inequality in life and in lives, distinguishing between biographical and biological life, and also addressing inequality in the face of death and among the dead.
The evening was moderated by Janina Kehr, Professor of Medical Anthropology and Global Health at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Vienna."
