when I was at Game 4, there were Celtics fans dad and his kids sitting in front of us. They left before us, and as they did, one of the kids, maybe 10 or 11 years old, turned to me smirking and said "good season" before bolting out. i hope that kid cried himself to sleep

Congratulations to Seattle’s Mayor-elect @wilsonformayor! Seattle voters made their voices heard: they want a new kind of politics — one that rejects corporate PAC money and delivers for working people. From one Mayor-elect to another, wishing you the best. Seattle is in great hands.

President Biden was not a leftist, socialist, or Marxist, yet conservatives called him one. Vice President Harris was not a leftist, socialist, or Marxist, yet conservatives called her one. These same folks are now saying that Mamdani being a Democratic Socialist will hurt Democrats. How? The Republican Party talking heads call neoliberal Democrats “radical” either way. The difference is the action when in power. The reason the “radical leftist” hit works on neoliberals is because people tend to not like neoliberal policy. They then associate “leftist” with neoliberalism.

Pretty crazy indictment on neoconservatism that this dude suffered a traumatic brain injury and it turned him into John McCain like he’s a modern day Phineas Gage
As I’ve long maintained, this was the correct move by @POTUS. Iran is the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism and cannot have nuclear capabilities. I’m grateful for and salute the finest military in the world. 🇺🇸

It’ll always be so sick that as American gentiles call American Jews antisemites for calling it a genocide, as Israeli Jews openly acknowledge, in public, to the press, that yes, we are doing a genocide.
Israel’s former prime minister, former defense minister, and former army general agree: Israel is committing war crimes

"Mr. Burns, your campaign seems to have the momentum of a runaway freight train. Why are you so popular?"
Who could possibly tell whether or not this is real

Replying to @TVietor08
it seems you are dismissing this as trolling, but it might be worth two seconds to reflect on talking like this about a city you and your friends will beg to mobilize and save your sorry-ass political machine every other year for the rest of your life

The new Stranger article on homelessness is wild. Explicitly identifies the median Seattle voter as “Left Leaning Patriot” from the NYT comment section. Admits he lives in Mercer Island. Then says we need to be worried about the tents in the park by Left Leaning Patriot’s house.

Yes, one example of the phenomenon I'm describing would be pointing at a chart that says "quarterly private sector manufacturing investment" and acting like people living in their cars or children going to school hungry should see that as proof they're wrong about their condition

And the foundational myth of Obamaism is that even when Democrats earn majorities and sweeping mandates they are largely powerless to help ordinary people.
