In 2021, Stuart was diagnosed with head and neck cancer. He took part in the PATHOS trial funded by @CR_UK and the treatment was successful with Stuart being declared cancer-free in December 2022.

Chronic Conditions research team has had a productive few months recruiting patients from dialysis units at CDH and RPH for the study ‘Complement Activation during Haemodialysis’ led by MFT. We recruited 50 patients, bringing the total number of participants so far to over 400.
