I understand the concern. That $600/month offer was from February 2025, when the channel had around 25K subscribers. It’s now over 100K, and that figure doesn’t represent the rates for this round. I haven’t advertised this as a full-time position. I’m building a team of multiple editors, with workload, expectations, and pay discussed individually. The bottom line is that I’m open to coming to an agreement that everyone is happy to move forward with. I can also see how the “best” wording came across as clickbait, and I could have been clearer about what success in the role actually looks like last time. After 68 applications and no lasting fit, I needed to improve how I communicate the role and assess applicants. That doesn’t mean all 68 were bad editors. It means my screening process needs work too, and that’s on me. I’m happy to take a look at your work and discuss whether we’re a good fit. If it already doesn’t sound right for you, that’s completely fair too. No worries either way.

Yes, I DO review every submission, portfolio, demo, and linked account. I may not have time to send individual feedback to every applicant, but every application is thoroughly considered. I look at the work, the fit, and whether you actually understand the channel. This is what reviewing 68 applications looks like.

I’m looking for the 1 editor who can do what the last 68 couldn’t. 68 editors applied last round. A few made it far enough to edit multiple videos for me. 0 became a long-term fit. I’m not looking for another decent editor. I’m looking for the best long-form gaming editors out there. Apply here: forms.gle/hw7UFcMRv9qwca2T7 Before applying, read this thread. It explains where people fell short and what it will take to be the exception. ⬇️

Hey Thorlar! I’m Maze 👋 I streamed to 0 people for a YEAR… and yesterday hit 100K on YouTube! I turn gaming streams into stories and challenges, mostly for a game called Wobbly Life, while working a full-time 9-5!

I streamed to 0 people for a YEAR starting in 2023… I followed @LudwigAhgren’s content advice… and today I hit 100,000 YouTube subscribers. All organic. I started streaming once a week and learned to build each stream around a story: a problem to solve, a buildup, a climax, and a resolution. It sounds cliché… but giving people something to follow and a reason to stay for the ending made a real difference in my streams. Those streams became long-form videos. Those videos became Shorts. Each one gave new people a way to find the channel. Livestream → Long-form video → Shorts. All on YouTube. 3 years of learning and refining that while working a full-time 9-5. I just wanted to change my life. Ludwig’s advice worked for me. I think a lot of people try it, but don’t fully grasp how to make the streams, videos, and Shorts work together. If you wanna see how I put it into practice, check out my channel… I left almost everything up, so you can see the ENTIRE journey: youtube.com/@mazelabz

🚀 Channel Growth Update! (since my last post around 10 months ago) 📈 👀 Views: 2.4M➡️8M (3x!) ⌛️ Watch Time: 20.7K➡️350K hours (16x!) 📈 Subscribers: 4.6K➡️18K (almost 4x!)
I launched a gaming channel on YouTube at the start of the year and have experienced overwhelming growth! In just a short time, we've hit nearly 5,000 subscribers, amassed over 2 million channel views, and racked up more than 20,000 watch hours.

@TeamYouTube my new video with ads placed in it is not playing any of the ads. My channel and video follow all the guidelines for monetization but when I watch on any device (desktop, mobile, TV, with no ad block) the ads don't run. Is there a reason why this is the case?

Australian Olympic "athlete" Raygun's disastrous breakdancing performance at the Olympics was so cringe-inducing that it single-handedly annihilated the "sport's" chances of appearing at the 2028 Los Angeles games. The International Olympic Committee removed breakdancing from the 2028 program before the Paris Olympics even began, signaling a massive vote of no confidence in the World DanceSport Federation's ability to put on a legitimate Olympic event. WDSF President Shawn Tay tried to spin the humiliating defeat as an opportunity to "show the Olympic Movement that it will be missing out" by putting on a good show in Paris. But his desperate pleas for a second chance ring hollow in light of Raygun's pitiful display. The fact is, breakdancing simply does not belong in the Olympics, and the IOC wisely recognized that before it could further embarrass itself on the global stage. Tay's grandiose claims about breaking being "a sport popular among youths from diverse backgrounds" and "rooted in beautiful values such as inclusivity" are laughable. In reality, breakdancing is a niche hobby that has been co-opted by the Olympics in a misguided attempt to appear hip and relevant to younger audiences. The IOC has now come to its senses and realized that breakdancing has no place among legitimate Olympic sports like swimming, gymnastics and track and field. So let this be a lesson to the WDSF and other fringe "sports" organizations: the Olympics is not a participation trophy. If you want to be taken seriously, you need to demonstrate actual athletic skill and merit, not just empty platitudes about "inclusivity." Breakdancing had its shot and blew it. Now it's time for the IOC to focus on the real sports that make the Olympics great.

How is YouTube maintaining consistency with this policy when they allow videos like this to stay up (6:00-6:14)? While there were clear edits before and after this for clarification - you can't do that on livestream. youtu.be/YEOhb8B6rEU?si=enpb…
