「吸血姫美夕」HDリマスター版の海外盤ブルーレイが到着。フィルムの情報を余すことなく映像化して驚くほど高画質。マシントレスの掠れ、色トレス線の厚みまでも感じ取れるディテールの再現力。高画質化によりセルゴミが目立っちゃうのはご愛嬌。グレイン処理もいい感じで、目立たないけどフィルムらしさがしっかり感じられる。DVD版より全体的に色温度が高くなってて、シーンによっては青味を強く感じた。日本でも是非ブルーレイ化を！

80年代OVA作画+平野俊弘作品+35mm制作+美夕という最高の組み合わせによる映像は眼福の極みであり、それがこれ程の超高精細なブルーレイで拝めるのは本当に感謝しかない。DVDでは分からなかった色彩設計の素晴らしさが漸く日の目を見る事が出来る(吸血姫だけど)。

80年代なので撮影時のセル画自体のガタつきだけはどうしても残ってしまうがそれ以外は本当に文句無しの仕上がり。全編本当に発色が素晴らしいので鑑賞中にいちいち溜息が漏れてしまう。Z970RでHDR変換をしているけど輝度を上げた時の映像の鮮明さは本当に言葉にならない見事なもの。

OVA『吸血姫美夕』HDリマスター版ブルーレイ鑑賞。 予想を超える素晴らしい高画質。 35mmOVA作品なので当然だけど、フレームのガタつきも無く、グレイン除去は最小限で細部までディテールがきちんと残っているので全編に亘って目を見張る様な鮮明さに感嘆の声が漏れてしまう。見事なレストア具合。

This anime never got released on disc before in any country, and was almost entirely forgotten. Its Blu-ray remastering happened ONLY because I happened to watch a fansub 20 years ago.

Delighted to announce that the forthcoming BD/UHD release of AD Police will feature brand new commentary tracks from screenwriter Sho Aikawa (eps 1-2) and dub director Michael Sinterniklaas (ep3). This was Sinterniklaas' directorial debut. Is this Aikawa's first US interview?

I don't mind saying that these are INCREDIBLE commentaries. I learned so much about the inner-workings of the 80s OVA scene, and the cottage 90s dub scene in Wilmington, NC.
