20 years ago Trafigura dumped toxic waste illegally in Ivory Coast. Many became ill & Trafigura agreed to compensate families of dozen+ people who died. Traf sequence starts 55.45 in new doc in German (but English subtitles). There's a lot of me in it vimeo.com/1187690282

ex-HMS Iron Duke towed out of Devonport to be prepared for scrapping in Portsmouth today. As we previously reported, £103M was spent on her 49-month LIFEX refit for about 16 months of operational availability before it was decided she was unseaworthy and beyond economical repair. Exclusive: ITV News understands the Welsh Rugby Union received nearly £10m last month as a result of a CVC transaction with the the United Rugby Championship. The four Welsh clubs were unaware of the deal and only learned of it after its completion.

Every suicide is a tragedy. This is really good thread. I didn't know standard of proof at inquest lowered from beyond reasonable doubt to balance of probabilities in 2018 resulting in 11% rise in statistics but not suicides. Also interesting that men born in 1970s at higher risk

~Netanyahu & IDF would commit but you could predict IDF would continue until Hamas destroyed as military force, they would kill more than 10K Palestinian civilians & Israel would impose security zones inside borders halving size of Gaza to physically prevent any further attack.

Has anyone unearthed that clip of Archer standing for London Mayor ranting about how he was going to GET Michael Crick when he was elected. I have never accepted “Don’t speak ill of the dead” some even said that about Savile after he died

As well as being a politician and highly successful novelist, don't forget Jeffrey Archer was a pretty nasty fraudster - like his father. In short, he was a crook. Many broadcasters - some who never dared ask him any tough questions - will gloss over that today.
