I'll just say this, then STFU. Maybe. Probably 50 reasons for the outcome. A big one was the (actually healthy) economy. It wasn't the economy, it was prices (inflation being tamed). We got hosed by corporate price fixing. Lotsa $ and got a new R prez. Win-win for them. ATHTRIO.

Then, there's the complete disconnect of states that voted to allow abortions but he won. Seriously?

Was it a roaring success at voter suppression? A really good job at corrupting the count? The bomb threats? All the above? Having a really hard time believing that apathy accounts for 18M.

I'll go ahead and say what I've been holding back. At a victory celebration in Nov 2008, I was held back from the joy others were sharing by the strong nagging feeling that "this won't end well". And finally, we're there.

Things are about to get bad for me, the country, and the whole world. Stupid people chose a stupid path for stupid reasons. Today is the first day of the rest of my life, a life that will almost certainly be far more difficult as time passes.

At the time I adopted this user name, I was getting out in front of myself. Barring a Hail Mary, it looks like I may have been regrettably correct.
