So it's obvious to look like it's going outside but the curve will eventually make it go inside.
Look at the freekicks he scored and you'll see the ball going out of post at first and eventually making it to the post by curving.

Ronaldo's header was the same situation as "B". Hence, the goal was cancelled a few hours later after it was reviewed by data providers like Opta.
*Some say Ronaldo didn't even touch the ball while heading it. It was just the defender who headed it. I haven't personally confirmed it though.
