There are many things I do not understand, but one of the most intriguing is why our politicians do not want beautiful Dublin to have a good Metro system. We need somebody in the Government that has used an underground metro frequently and understands what are we talking about

Good point as max patronage of public transport is all about the geography of the networks as against pop. density. For #MetroDublin the jpgs below show how orbital & radial buses (some Luas!) & orbital rail Docklands - St Stephen's Green - Heuston - Cabra - Docklands all mesh

Cart before the horse again here. FFS carriages are the priority here with capacity stretched beyond the limit at peak times. Another stop = adding more time to get to Connolly. Thank god I switched to a private bus operator from the train and €1,000 more p/a in my arse pocket.

Clearly #MetroDublin is antidote to our housing crises. It opens vast brownfield areas for great housing and billions of euros needed for our national depth, & to fund health, housing, education, water, transport and environment - it is a drastic measure that we can deliver.
