An ENS name will eventually become valuable not because of its floor price but because of the utility it will offer.
It’s more like your new human identity on the internet, and if ENS allows you to keep your private data, it could even become a portable identity that a human or an agent could use on the internet. You can move money and chat with others.
We do have the infrastructure available for that too.

There are a few moments in ENS history that are as momentous as this. We’ve been building for almost 10 years already and this is really the foundations of the next few decades where a programmable, permisionless naming system will be required to shape the next sovereign internet
The vote to activate ENSv2 on Ethereum mainnet is now live.
This is a major step toward launching the next generation of ENS, with the decision in the hands of the DAO.

@ENS_DAO is voting on the activation of ENSv2. This proposal will stop new .eth registrations on v1.
However, existing names will keep working and can still be renewed, with payment in USDC or DAI.
Once approved, ENSv2 will remain under ENS Labs' control while it completes the final stages of the rollout: a final copy of all names, going live on v2, and handing its admin powers to the DAO.

Someone build a super-client within which, separate clients (social media apps) exist as channels? The main feed exists as a crucible where you can run your own algo or select from templates built by the community.
