New Proposal: Activate ENSv2
This proposal activates ENSv2: freezes new v1 .eth registrations, keeps unmigrated names renewable, reserves existing names, then enables the transition of registration and resolution to v2. discuss.ens.domains/t/execut…
New proposal: Funding Request
This proposal requests ~200k USDC to fund the Meta-Governance Working Group through Term 7.
It covers operations, communications, governance, and DAO-approved contract audits; grants and growth move to the Foundation. discuss.ens.domains/t/7-2-so…

Tally once powered 500+ DAOs. Then it shut down.
Frontends die, but delegation stays onchain. Do it directly from the token contract on Blockscout, e.g. $ENS:
Step 1: Open eth.blockscout.com/address/0…
Step 2: Connect wallet
Step 3: Enter delegate address
Step 4: Click Write, confirm

Replying to @ENS_DAO
@ENS_DAO is voting on the activation of ENSv2. This proposal will stop new .eth registrations on v1.
However, existing names will keep working and can still be renewed, with payment in USDC or DAI.
Once approved, ENSv2 will remain under ENS Labs' control while it completes the final stages of the rollout: a final copy of all names, going live on v2, and handing its admin powers to the DAO.

the ENSv2 activation vote is live through oct 25
if you hold a .eth and do nothing, it keeps working and stays renewable
no deadline to move
The vote to activate ENSv2 on Ethereum mainnet is now live.
This is a major step toward launching the next generation of ENS, with the decision in the hands of the DAO.

Replying to @ensdomains
@ensdomains is voting to activate ENSv2 on Ethereum mainnet through an onchain proposal with a 15-call payload.
The DAO-controlled execution contract would run all 15 actions together or none take effect, freezing new v1 registrations while keeping unmigrated names renewable.
ENSv2 lets owners customize subname registries and grant permission to change where a name points without granting permission to transfer it. ENS Labs would then sync eligible names, enable v2 registration and migration, and hand its remaining admin roles to @ENS_DAO.
Existing names keep working. Migration is optional with no deadline, but irreversible. New registrations would pause for an expected few hours.
Previously approved pricing applies from execution, including unmigrated renewals. Fees go to the ENS Endowment, owned by @ENSfndn and managed by @kpk_io.
A supporting voter expects greater capability, flexibility and accessibility. A dissenting voter supports technical evolution but objects to the $5-to-$8 annual fee for 5+ character names relative to perceived premium-name savings, rejecting discounts as a remedy.
6 wallets have cast 531,252 $ENS so far: 100.0% For, 0.0% Against and 0.0% Abstain after rounding, with 25 ENS Against. Support is near-unanimous; quorum is not yet met.
Voting closes October 25th at 5:32am UTC.

October's funding proposal is lean.
50k discretionary budget, mainly for ENS support; 100k conditionally reserved for contract audits.

ENSv2 is approaching mainnet, and you might be wondering what that means for the .eth name you already own.
Will it still work? Do you need to upgrade straight away? Here’s what to know before launch.

The final round of ENS’s incentive program has been distributed!
In total, 8,000 ENS were distributed to 697 different wallets as a reward for delegating their tokens to Active Delegates in the ENS DAO.
That’s 3,000 more tokens than the previous round 👀
With the results of this final round, we’ll produce a report with the key takeaways from running an incentive program to make $ENS holders more active.
It will be shared on the ENS forum and explained here on X.
