San Francisco Mayor @LondonBreed and @SFPDChief Scott showcased their new drone program this week, where Drone as First Responder (DFR) will play a vital role in helping to build a safer Bay Area region. Drones can be deployed in the field or remotely to help lead to better outcomes like safer arrests, and have contributed to a 34% drop in crime locally.
They also invited San Jose Mayor @MattMahanSJ and new @SanJosePD Chief @SJPD_AC_Joseph to participate in the demo. San Jose is excited to explore implementing DFR the way San Francisco has.
