Our rights don’t come from G-d, they come from the Constitution, which also guarantees @AbdulElSayed the right to be a practicing Muslim. @berniemoreno should know this, because as a U.S. Senator he took an oath to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution.” Yes, Abdul El-Sayed is an antisemite and I haven’t been shy about saying it, but in order to maintain credibility I also have to call out Bernie Moreno’s Islamophobia.

The fact that despite the favorable environment for Democrats Abdul El-Sayed is running in this race is still a statistical tie points to his weakness as a candidate and the fact that in diverse districts and states there antisemitism is a losing campaign platform. A moderate Democrat like Haley Stevens would be wiping the floor with Mike Rogers.
Democratic primary voters may be moving to the left, but the U.S. electorate writ large clearly has not.
