So the Phil Bull Trophy is finally a handicap this year. It's got 9 runners and is a nice enough race - but a short lament for all the 2 mile + flat maidens, sellers, claimers and other non-black type non-h'cap races - most seem to have vanished in the years I have followed.

You'll travel a million miles etc... I do remember a triple dead heat in a handicap hurdle at Belle Vue in the late 80s - unfortunately it was a Saturday my parents had other plans and we missed!
HISTORY was made at Romford Greyhound Stadium in 2011 when stunned punters witnessed a triple dead heat.
Killishin Masai, Ayamzagirl & Droopys Djokovic could not be separated in a photo finish at the venue.
All three crossed the line in a time of 59.53 seconds over 925 metres.
