Two things I still hear: 1) Power ratings overrate the SEC. 2) The SEC is not the best conference in college football. The SEC is 37–2 in non conference play and 10–2 against other P4 conferences. And those preseason ratings that overrate the SEC? They actually underestimated it more than any other conference this year, by 3.5 wins.

This is true overall, but if Alabama recovers any of Georgia's four fumbles last Saturday, the result is probably different. Georgia has 11 fumbles this year (fifth-most nationally), but has only lost 3 of them. Could cost them down the line.

Let me ask, since you keep pointing to week one v Tulsa... Who has SMU beat? They lost to a current unranked 3-3 Louisville team. Tulsa is also 3-3 with a win over a ranked team. That win for Tulsa is more impressive than UL's win over SMU. But you rank SMU? Doesn't make sense.
