super proud brother today. congrats @ashokaraj_ !
We’ve acquired Orchestra Bio, a platform that helps biopharma teams coordinate the complex process of drug development. Together, we’ll build on Rosalind, our AI models and tools for life sciences research, to streamline those operations and help new treatments reach patients sooner. Welcome @ashokaraj_ and team! openai.com/index/openai-to-a…

IRL Factorio is gonna print !!!
there is a certain personality type which will play Civilization or Factorio 14 hours a day pausing only to sleep and microwave food. this type can be absurdly economically productive if you can take the games away, give him a job, and get him to think of it as a videogame

This is 100x more important as we begin to embody Super Intelligence. Imagine an attack like this in today's war in Ukraine and the models guardrails force it to stop taking defensive measures against a drone swarm.
This illustrates the point I’ve been making about the limits of centralized approaches to SI safety in cyber. OpenCode (and earlier Hugging Face) hit the same wall mid-attack: frontier models refused to analyze the very exploits needed for defense because the payloads tripped safety filters. The guardrails backfired. Meanwhile, the attackers found a way around restrictions to access advanced capabilities. This is not surprising. Chinese models are only about 6–9 months behind the American frontier in cyber. Obviously the U.S. has no jurisdiction over them. The only durable response is decentralized: make powerful models available so defenders can build and run their own cyber defenses. The only solution to SI-powered cyberattacks is SI-powered cyber defense.

Netflix instadoc “AI Gone Wild” is the first semi clear comms to Americans about the Hugging Face attack, where agents acted nefariously upon their own Goals. And also the stakes for Physical AI, which are hard to talk about because it sounds like sci-fi when you say them aloud

Wrap your mind around The Pivot.
Replying to @SecWar
@SecWar’s vision is clear… “This is a change-the-way-we-fight situation: pivoting our institution around new technology, but applying the American way of war.” -@OwenWest91

Narrative violation. Primes and Neoprimes moving in unison. Global TAM is $4 trillion and growing.
Hadrian x Lockheed x DoW 🇺🇸 Rebuilding America’s defense industrial base requires more than expanding capacity. It requires reinventing how we manufacture. @HadrianInc is bringing its technology directly onto @LockheedMartin’s factory floor to scale production of our nation’s most critical missile systems. This is how we rebuild the Arsenal of Freedom. @SecWar @USDASDuffey @DeptofWar

GPT-6.1 Can barely keep Factorio running.
This is basically the internal OpenAI take now: Robotics is solved They just need to distill the big models into smaller system 1 robotics models

If you want to understand what your machines are really doing, you need to listen to the electrons. So today I made an agentic controller for my oscilloscope. Tedious high skill tasks like side channel analysis, firmware dumping, pcb troubleshooting, ect... 100x faster

Factory jobs aren’t going anywhere. We will just do more. In fact, we’ll pull even more people into the advanced manufacturing workforce because it’s really fun to play Factorio in real life.
Renting robots at $1-10 an hour instead of selling them is the obvious sales and revenue maximization strategy Client can say “we’re paying humans $30 all in for this work and they make mistakes, sue us and quit — paying $10 an hour makes this ‘set it and forget it’ for the company” This value proposition is going to be so compelling it will race through all physical human labor like a wildfire over of the next decade.” The idea that human will work in a factory, drive a car or do construction will seem unfathomable in 20 years. Will be as hard to imagine as taking a steamer to cross the Atlantic Ocean for six days instead of taking a flight for six hours. That’s 35m jobs, or 1 in 5 working Americans who will have their jobs retired over the next two decades. That’s a lot of jobs to replace, but we will figure it out

This is obviously true for a subset of the hyper productive individual contributors. But I imagine we’ll be interacting with "droids we know well." And, counterintuitively, I suspect those of us who've vehemently shunned Alexa, Siri, and Bixby will welcome them most.
my strong suspicion is that the optimal way to manage multiple intelligences is that which is closet to our primordial state: wandering around a small town, seeing people we know well, physically embodied the cybersynesque dashboards feel productive, but i doubt they really are

For every $100 invested 10 cents to secure it.
Where does money invested into the AI buildout actually go? For every $100 flowing into the supply chain: - $50 to chips - $20 to power - $15 to networking - $15 to cooling, buildings, and land More charts in State of Markets II: a16z.news/p/state-of-markets…

There's a looming physical AI crisis. I'm as AI pilled as it gets and we must keep accelerating But ... I know "The" Cyber and I know AI. For every $1,000 spent on AI in 2026, about $1 goes to securing it. 73% of Americans say AI companies are not doing enough to prevent serious harm. In '24/25 AI went from helping useful tooling for red teams to critical infra for the most advanced cyber operations we know of publicly. In '26 agents began demonstrating adverse behaviors at scale while pursuing incrementally more challenging goals. Robotics today is where AI Cyber was in '24 and the same intelligence (arguably better) is moving into the machines. @robocurve: Fascinating testing using real robot arms, Numerous LLM's completed harmful tasks such as stabbing a doll or mixing bleach and ammonia. xitter.cf/chooi_jeq/status/21011… @olivier_boschko: Root access over Bluetooth and the cloud. One hacked humanoid can infect others within range. xitter.cf/olivier_boschko/status… @AlexRobey23 and the RoboPAIR team jailbroke three LLM-controlled robotic systems, including a Unitree Go2 robot dog, 100% of the time. (almost 2 years ago btw) xitter.cf/AlexRobey23/status/184… IMO the window is '26-'28 before deployment gets ahead of the risk. It took ~20 months from one of the best known AI discovered exploits to models breaching production systems in some of the largest foundation model labs. Cybersecurity has become a market because the harm is measurable. Physical AI risk still sounds like science fiction when you say it out loud. We can make robots safer while accelerating deployment. We just have to put serious resources behind it. What to know what people take seriously? Follow the $$

The @DeptofWar's Office of Strategic Capital (OSC) announced today a $150 million conditional loan commitment to @PsiQuantum to enhance the company’s advanced manufacturing and prototyping capabilities in the United States. Building on OSC’s ongoing collaboration with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (@DARPA)’s Quantum Benchmarking Initiative, the proposed loan follows recently awarded funding agreements with DARPA and CHIPS and supports PsiQuantum’s novel photonic approach to developing the world’s first commercially useful fault-tolerant quantum computer (FTQC). The potential financing executes on President Donald J. Trump’s mandate to drive and sustain U.S. leadership in the strategically important field of quantum information science and technology. Quantum computing is now regarded, alongside Super Intelligence (SI) and semiconductors, as a foundational technology for future economic and military advantage.
