super proud brother today. congrats @ashokaraj_ !
We’ve acquired Orchestra Bio, a platform that helps biopharma teams coordinate the complex process of drug development.
Together, we’ll build on Rosalind, our AI models and tools for life sciences research, to streamline those operations and help new treatments reach patients sooner.
Welcome @ashokaraj_ and team!

This is 100x more important as we begin to embody Super Intelligence.
Imagine an attack like this in today's war in Ukraine and the models guardrails force it to stop taking defensive measures against a drone swarm.

This illustrates the point I’ve been making about the limits of centralized approaches to SI safety in cyber.
OpenCode (and earlier Hugging Face) hit the same wall mid-attack: frontier models refused to analyze the very exploits needed for defense because the payloads tripped safety filters. The guardrails backfired.
Meanwhile, the attackers found a way around restrictions to access advanced capabilities. This is not surprising. Chinese models are only about 6–9 months behind the American frontier in cyber. Obviously the U.S. has no jurisdiction over them.
The only durable response is decentralized: make powerful models available so defenders can build and run their own cyber defenses. The only solution to SI-powered cyberattacks is SI-powered cyber defense.

Army Wants High-Energy Laser Weapons It Can Put On “Any Vehicle In The Motorpool”
The Army sees modular laser systems not tied to specific vehicles as key to truly operationalizing and distributing counter-drone laser capabilities.

If you want to understand what your machines are really doing, you need to listen to the electrons.
So today I made an agentic controller for my oscilloscope.

The @DeptofWar's Office of Strategic Capital (OSC) announced today a $150 million conditional loan commitment to @PsiQuantum to enhance the company’s advanced manufacturing and prototyping capabilities in the United States. Building on OSC’s ongoing collaboration with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (@DARPA)’s Quantum Benchmarking Initiative, the proposed loan follows recently awarded funding agreements with DARPA and CHIPS and supports PsiQuantum’s novel photonic approach to developing the world’s first commercially useful fault-tolerant quantum computer (FTQC).
The potential financing executes on President Donald J. Trump’s mandate to drive and sustain U.S. leadership in the strategically important field of quantum information science and technology. Quantum computing is now regarded, alongside Super Intelligence (SI) and semiconductors, as a foundational technology for future economic and military advantage.

In 1995, O’Grady was downed in Bosnia and rescued by @USMC. CNN aired it nonstop. Larry King gave him a full hour. Clinton hosted at the White House. The cynicism of our unobjective Press (which attacks @SecWar daily) has resulted in a total deterioration of trust.

Today I submitted my formal resignation as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Strategic Readiness. When I took on this task for @POTUS, @SecWar, & @USW_PR_HONTata, I promised a year; another year away from my wife whom I miss dearly. The resignation takes effect in 2 weeks.

When we founded @PDW_ai, we believed America had to regain the ability to build the technologies that protect it.
This $820M conditional loan commitment is bigger than one company. It’s a step toward a sovereign American drone industry.
Proud of this team. Now we execute. 🇺🇸
Today, the @DeptofWar's Office of Strategic Capital announced an $820 million commitment to PDW to help strengthen America's drone industrial base and expand domestic manufacturing of critical components.
This financing will help accelerate PDW’s mission to put decisive airpower in the hands of every operator. It also reinforces an important national priority: strengthening America's ability to design, manufacture, and scale critical drone systems and components here at home.
We are honored by the trust placed in our team and look forward to laying the foundation of America’s drone arsenal.

Today marks an important milestone for PDW and for America's drone industrial base.
I'm incredibly proud of our team and grateful for the confidence the Department of War has placed in PDW through its Office of Strategic Capital financing support. This moment is about more than manufacturing capacity. It's about ensuring operators have access to reliable, mission-capable systems and strengthening America’s ability to manufacture the critical components required to deliver them at scale.
I shared a few thoughts on what this announcement means for PDW, our customers, and the broader mission below.

The @DeptofWar’s Office of Strategic Capital announced an $820 million conditional loan commitment with Performance Drone Works (@PDW_ai) to expand domestic manufacturing for critical drone components.
This financing will establish a new, high-volume source of domestically manufactured components for Group 1 and Group 2 unmanned aircraft, strengthening the U.S. drone industrial base and addressing critical supply chain bottlenecks.

For more than a decade, the United States has been dependent on foreign technology and has lacked a domestic drone component ecosystem. This financing would allow us to build the components necessary for a thriving, sovereign dual-use drone industry and help to secure our nation's industrial future.
We at @PDW_ai are so honored to serve this important mission. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

or in the words of the great @realGeorgeHotz
A very overdue announcement - we raised $830M in December at a $7.5bn valuation from Situational Awareness.
The US must add hundreds of gigawatts of compute in the coming years in order to ensure that domestic AI labs continue to win. This is a buildout of unprecedented scale - larger than the Arsenal of Democracy, the Marshall Plan, and the Apollo Program combined.
Fluidstack will build this infrastructure faster and at a larger scale than anyone else on the planet. This will be required to ensure that democracy wins and that every human on Earth benefits from transformatively powerful AI.
We are looking for exceptional people to come join us - my DMs are open - please reach out.
In January, Fluidstack raised an $830M Series A at a $7.5B valuation, led by Situational Awareness, with participation from world-leading investors.
Fluidstack builds infrastructure for the leading AI labs - our goal is to be the fastest on the planet at deploying hundreds of gigawatts of compute.
As we stand at the event horizon of the singularity, humanity’s best chance is if democracies, with error correcting institutions, free speech, and checks on power, imbue those same principles into superintelligence. Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will decide whether Al expands human freedom or shrinks it.
We are hiring - come join us.
