I don't believe this is a valid argument because most literature, for 4000 years, was authored by men. Provided the work is not Lost Media, it is still accessible. So much hunting for flimsy excuses when the problem is parents don't read to boys and instill a love of it early on.

In 2012-2013 Netflix was $8 a month you could share your account all your wanted and they were one of the only streaming games in town so they had EVERY show and movie that had a streaming license.

I would at least find it consistent if it came from a helicopter parent that makes their offspring livestream their lives 24/7, but it didn't.

Something I've noticed is that most internet regulation justification is "The internet isn't perfect".
As in, they're trying to prevent problems that happen IRL all the time, but that aren't aren't seen as "a big deal" when they happen IRL.+
