For sale! I'm selling one of my favourite paintings. It's by the wonderful artist, DD McInnes, & is entitled "John Selden leaving Hare Court, Inner Temple, August, 1614." DM me if you're interested-would like it to go to a good home! It's an original painting, not a print. Commissioned 10 years ago.

We often hear people say, “I couldn’t adopt an old dog. I couldn’t cope with losing them so soon.” But what about the dog? They can’t bear the thought of dying alone in a kennel, either. And the truth is, we could lose a young dog at any moment, too. Sometimes, we need to be stronger for them. To put their needs before our fear of heartbreak. Because giving an old dog a loving home, even for a short time, will mean the world to them. What I love most about volunteers visiting Galgos del Sol is seeing how often their minds change. They come to meet the dogs, witness their daily lives in kennels, and discover what a difference they could make. They begin to understand that rescue isn’t just about finding a dog to fit into your life, altho that’s off course important, It’s also about seeing the dog who needs you most, and asking what you could offer them. Of course, adopting a puppy or a younger dog is every bit as much a rescue. Every dog deserves a home. ❤️ But there is something incredibly special about giving an old dog the chance. And that’s exactly what Catherine has decided to do. After volunteering at Galgos del Sol twice in just a few months, Catherine & Shaun have opened their hearts to Rubio, an elderly boy, isolated his whole younger life who now struggles to interact with other dogs. His time is precious. They have chosen to give him the retirement he deserves, lots of adventures, rather than kennel walls. Thank you, for reserving our old, lumpy boy Rubio. ❤️ Even after recently having some lumps removed, he deserves this. Rubio will leave in the next months 💕

Eden survived the unthinkable. 🤍🐾 Perhaps Eden was given her name for a reason, because from the very moment she came into our lives, she was already surviving the impossible. Today, Eden went in for what should have been a routine keyhole spay. But almost immediately, the vet looked through the camera and saw something he should never have expected to see. Eden had a peritoneopericardial diaphragmatic hernia. Her stomach and liver had moved through an abnormal opening in her diaphragm and into the space around her heart. And incredibly, it was the way her liver had become lodged that had been helping to keep her alive. Until today, Eden had been running happily around the park, seemingly no different from any other day. There were no obvious signs that anything was wrong. We had absolutely no idea! She went in for a spay and suddenly needed a life-saving operation. Eden is now recovering and is stable. 🤍 Thank you Pet Wellness, fisioterapia - endoscopia veterinaria for the incredibly quick action. That certainly wasn’t expected today 🫣

Bat conservation at your Toronto Zoo has hit a few snags - the good kind 🦇 This summer, our Bat Conservation team travelled to northern #Ontario to track endangered silver-haired bats. Not much is known about this species in the boreal forest, including where they roost during the day or where females raise their young. Read more, as we continue our celebration of #BatWeek2026 ⬇️ bit.ly/4ssIUwr

Replying to @TourCNTower
@TourCNTower- we saw your announcement on social media this morning and are officially on the case 🔍 A similar mystery has been unfolding here at your Toronto Zoo. Earlier today, our team spotted some unusual activity in the African Rainforest Pavilion which was caught on the @zoolifetv livecam 🎥 We're confident that by working together, we will solve this mystery along with the help of our Zoo members, guests and greater community. Any theories on what we may be dealing with? 👀

Polio vaccines don't cause cancer Consider this stupid story debunked Have a wonderful day
Polio Vaccines Were Contaminated With SV40 and Nobody Knew for Years Polio vaccines made between 1955 and 1963 were grown in rhesus monkey kidney cells and carried simian virus 40. MILLIONS received them before anyone knew. The Institute of Medicine reviewed it in 2002: evidence INADEQUATE to accept or reject a causal link to cancer — not the same statement as “safe.” And the 1955 Cutter incident put live poliovirus into supposedly inactivated vaccine and PARALYZED CHILDREN. Both found after administration. @RebeccaLambb #MedicalFreedom

(Amanda) This thing I am sitting in is called a 'sieve'. Betty puts compost in it and shakes it so all the lumps disappear. I just thought I would try it out and see if it was comfortable. It was! Betty told me that I am easily pleased. I don't know what she means.
